Singapore – Carousell Singapore has recently unveiled that it has teamed up with e-commerce logistics provider SingPost to provide more affordable, convenient, and secure delivery options for its customers.

As part of the initiative, the two entities will work together to provide a seamless peer-to-peer shipping experience, encouraging more customers to choose tracked deliveries for secondhand selling. Tracked delivery, in this sense, offers a safer option for customers to prevent e-commerce scams.

Carousell sellers can now drop off their parcels at POPStation and POPStop locations through the Carousell official delivery. Sellers can also print shipping labels for free at POPStations.

Carousell official delivery enables sellers to easily arrange and pay for affordable trackable delivery options fulfilled by logistics partners through the Carousell platform. This allows users to enjoy reduced shipping rates starting from as low as S$2, while sellers can decide for each listing if the shipping fee will be borne by the buyer or seller.

Meanwhile, SingPost’s tracked letterbox service will be featured as a delivery option on Carousell, with sellers able to drop off items at any post box, POPStation, or POPStop location. This option offers real-time tracking and delivers directly to recipients’ letterboxes, improving both convenience and customer assurance.

Vishal Salunkhe, vice president and head of commercial at Carousell, said, “With the recent publication of our Safety Policy in line with the Singapore Online Criminal Harms Act and its Code of Practice for E-Commerce Services, users must use the ‘Buy’ button’ to make payment if dealing via delivery or arrange to meet up.”

“To make it accessible for anyone to comply and not expose themselves to risk of scams with private arrangements, we are excited to partner with SingPost to co-create delivery options that are trusted and convenient while still being affordable,” added Salunkhe.

Shahrin Abdol Salam, chief executive officer Singapore at SingPost, said, “We’re thrilled to be bringing our logistics solutions closer to the vibrant Carousell community. This partnership isn’t just about moving packages, but offering trackability for deliveries that are made more affordable, secure, and convenient.”

“It is also a step towards making the circular economy more accessible and sustainable. This is an exciting step towards our vision of revolutionising eCommerce logistics while placing focus on sustainability,” Salam concluded.
