Singapore – Adyen, a global financial tech firm, has recently announced a new collaboration with Hong Kong-based food and beverage SaaS provider Aigens. This partnership enables the integration of Adyen’s payment capabilities into Aigens Pay, offering restaurants in Hong Kong and Singapore to benefit from an all-in-one omnichannel platform.
Using Adyen’s payment innovation, Aigens has also incorporated them into three operation flows, including (1) a bill settlement at the counter, where Adyen’s POS terminal is placed on the countertop for staff to collect bills; (2) ordering kiosks, where Adyen’s POS terminal is installed at the kiosk for diners’ self-orders; and lastly © QR code mobile ordering, where Adyen’s solution allows diners the convenience of paying online after placing their orders on their mobile devices.
Through the partnership, Aigens is also able to provide merchants with reliable in-person payment terminals that integrate swiftly with F&B merchants’ point-of-sale systems, minimising human errors and promoting efficiency.
It also brings simplified reconciliation workflows, enabling restaurants to achieve greater efficiency. In addition, the alliance offers the convenience of preferred local payment options for diners, available through mobile orders, kiosks, or at the counter.
Beyond hardware solutions, Aigens will also launch Adyen’s ‘Tap to Pay on Android’, a software solution that turns any NFC-enabled Android device into a contactless payments terminal. This move allows Aigens to customise the payment offering best suited to the needs of their F&B merchants.
Additionally, the integration further enhances Aigen’s service offerings, making it a one-stop solution for its merchants by covering all ordering and payment touch points along the whole diner journey. Said partnership broadens Aigens’ revenue streams, significantly contributing to its commercial growth.
Hans Paul, co-founder and CEO at Aigens, said, “Aigens is committed to empowering the F&B sector through a relentless focus on innovations. To help our merchants elevate the diner experience and maximise efficiency, we have partnered with Adyen to craft a comprehensive payment solution that promises flexibility and seamless integration.”
“We are confident that the strengthened Aigens Pay will raise customer satisfaction levels and drive growth for our merchants,” he further shared.
Ben Wong, general manager, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong at Adyen, said, “We’re excited to partner with Aigens on their journey to deliver seamless payment solutions for their merchants and customers. Our global presence and single tech stack allow us to effectively collaborate with these SaaS platforms, simplifying the complexities of cross-border expansion as they scale across markets.”
“This strategic move for Aigens will enhance customer lifetime value, offer diverse payment options, open new revenue streams, and contribute to a more resilient business model,” explained Wong.
Early adopters of this solution include F&B brands such as Gyushige, TREEHOUSE, Swee Choon, and Louisa Coffee.
