HYCU taps VSTECS as APAC distribution partner, expanding enterprise data protection across SEA

Singapore – HYCU, Inc., a provider of data protection solutions spanning on-premises, cloud and software-as-a-service environments, has entered into a regional distribution agreement with VSTECS, an established information and communications technology distributor in the APAC region.

The partnership appoints VSTECS as HYCU’s distributor across several SEA markets, increasing regional availability of the HYCU R-Cloud platform through VSTECS’s extensive channel ecosystem of more than 50,000 partners in the region.

Under the arrangement, VSTECS will support the rollout of HYCU’s consolidated data protection model to enterprise organisations in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Leveraging its experience in IT services, enterprise platforms and infrastructure distribution, VSTECS is expected to enable resellers and systems integrators to provide policy-based backup and recovery for hybrid, cloud-native, and SaaS-based workloads.

“As organisations across Asia continue to adopt cloud and SaaS services at a record pace, the need for simple, secure, and scalable data protection has never been more urgent,” Simon Taylor, founder and CEO of HYCU, Inc., stated.

He added, “Together with VSTECS, we can ensure more customers are protected, resilient, and in control of their data, wherever that data lives.”

The addition of HYCU to VSTECS’s portfolio is intended to strengthen its role in supporting digital transformation initiatives, particularly as enterprises address increasing demands related to ransomware resilience, regulatory compliance and operational continuity. The HYCU platform is positioned as a solution designed for rapid deployment without the need for additional infrastructure management.

The agreement broadens access to the HYCU R-Cloud Platform across SEA, offering organisations a data protection solution designed specifically for mixed IT environments that include on-premises systems, public cloud services and SaaS applications.

“We are proud to be appointed as HYCU’s regional distributor. HYCU’s innovative approach to SaaS and multi-cloud data protection is a perfect fit for the needs of our partners and customers,” William Ong, group CEO ASEAN at VSTECS, commented.

“As enterprises modernise and move faster, protecting data across every platform is essential. HYCU helps them do that, simply and effectively.”

HYCY R-Cloud integrates ransomware recovery capabilities through HYCU R-Shield platform, supporting more than 90 as-a-service workloads, and is intended to simplify protection and recovery processes for virtual machines, databases, SaaS applications, and emerging workloads associated with high-density AI computing.
