Mumbai, India – Veefin has appointed Sorabh Dhawan as the chief executive officer of PSB Xchange, adding experienced leadership to one of India’s key digital credit platforms. The company said the move aims to reinforce the operational direction of the national-scale system used by public sector banks and a wide network of financial institutions.
Sorabh has worked in banking, digital lending and operational transformation for nearly two decades, holding senior roles at major lenders including Kotak Bank, Aditya Birla Finance and HDFC Bank.
He most recently led SG Finserve Limited, where he oversaw the creation and expansion of a non-bank financial company that has become active in the supply chain finance sector.
“I am honoured to lead PSB Xchange at such a transformative stage,” Sorabh commented.
He added, “Veefin has built one of India’s most trusted digital lending infrastructures, and I look forward to driving its next phase of growth, expansion, and nationwide impact.”
Sorabh’s appointment comes as PSB Xchange continues to support the modernisation of India’s public sector banking landscape. The platform, developed and operated solely by Veefin under a long-term agreement with PSB Alliance, serves as a central digital system linking public sector banks, finance firms and a large customer base through a unified and secure process.
“PSB Xchange is a national responsibility, and Veefin is honoured to be entrusted with this exclusive mandate from PSB Alliance,” Raja Debnath, co-founder of Veefin, shared.
He added, “Sorabh’s appointment strengthens our mission to scale this platform to its full potential and deliver long-term impact across India’s banking system.”
The agreement with Veefin includes a full lock-in period and exclusive operating rights for the duration of the contract. The arrangement reflects a high degree of confidence in Veefin’s capability to manage a mission-critical digital infrastructure designed to process large credit flows, standardise procedures across institutions and strengthen compliance practices.
PSB Xchange has been structured to facilitate interoperability and support long-term digital transformation across India’s public banking ecosystem. Sorabh’s leadership is expected to guide the platform through its next phase of development and expand its role in the country’s lending framework.
