Melissa opens China office to support cross-border trade growth in APAC

China — Melissa, a global specialist in data quality and address management solutions, has expanded its global presence with the opening of its first office in China, a move aimed at strengthening support for enterprises operating in the country’s rapidly growing cross-border e-commerce and logistics sectors.

The new office provides local consultative services and technical expertise, enabling Chinese businesses to enhance data accuracy for more efficient deliveries and improved customer engagement.

The expansion adds to Melissa’s existing offices in the United States, India, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore, further extending its global footprint.

“China is one of the world’s most dynamic hubs for cross-border trade, and establishing a regional office allows us to offer a local presence with global reach,” Ray Melissa, president and founder of Melissa, explained.

He added that this expansion allows greater global accessibility for Melissa’s data quality tools and seamlessly connects with customers anywhere in the world.

Melissa will participate in two trade events in Shenzhen this September — the China Cross Border E-commerce Fair (CCBEC) and the China International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair (CILF) — where it will showcase its address management and data verification tools.

“Our data quality tools are optimised to empower businesses in heavily export-driven markets like China to easily verify global shipping address, phone numbers, and emails using authoritative reference data,” Hugo Liu, sales account executive for the China region at Melissa, said.

Melissa’s product suite includes Global Address Verification, which validates and standardises customer data across more than 240 countries and territories, Global Express Entry for real-time address autocompletion, Global Phone Verification for validating international phone numbers, and Global Email Verification for ensuring accurate and deliverable email addresses.

These solutions are designed to help businesses maintain clean, reliable data that supports seamless cross-border trade and customer communications.
