Zoho, Cradle to empower startups in Malaysia following recent collaboration

Malaysia – Zoho, a multinational tech company, has recently teamed up with Malaysia’s early-stage start-up influencer Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, with the goal of strengthening Malaysia’s start-up ecosystem.

In this collaboration, the two mentioned Zoho’s start-up-focused programme will now be available through Cradle’s centralised hub for start-up founders, the MYStartup Single Window platform.

Zoho also pledged more than RM44 million worth of Zoho Wallet credits in a move to support 4,400 startups in Malaysia. This strategic move allows Malaysian startups to tap into its portfolio of business applications.

With Malaysia being recognised as the second ASEAN nation to gain access to this programme, the company also shared that the initiative complements their commitment to empower startups with the tools they need to launch and grow.

Furthermore, participating startups will receive one-year-valid credits, offering them the flexibility to explore Zoho tools that best suit their operational and scaling needs.

The firm also noted that said initiative will be made available within Cradle’s extensive network, particularly from early-stage ventures to Series B companies.

Meanwhile, promotion will span across WhatsApp, email, events, and social media to drive visibility. Eligible startups can also register through the MYStartup Single Window portal to access Zoho’s tools.

Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke, group chief executive officer at Cradle, said, “At Cradle, we believe startups grow faster when they’re equipped with the right tools and surrounded by the right ecosystem. Our collaboration with Zoho is all about making that happen, giving founders easy access to world-class software solutions that can power their next big leap.”

Vanhaecke further explained, “Through the MYStartup Single Window platform, we are not just connecting startups to the right tools and resources – we are opening doors to global opportunities and helping them build with confidence.”

Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy, global head—Zoho for Startups, also remarked, “Malaysia is steadily focusing on its innovation landscape, strengthened by the support and budget from the government and the new policies in place. With the collective experience we have of running the Zoho for Startups programme in more than 10 locations across the world, including India, we are poised to make this collaboration one of the most impactful one for Malaysia.”

Meanwhile, Gibu Mathew, vice president and general manager at Zoho Asia Pacific (APAC), remarked, “This involvement reflects Zoho’s ongoing commitment to fostering a sustainable startup ecosystem in Malaysia and equipping entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed.”

Launched in 2017, the Zoho for Startups programme has connected with more than 18,000 startups worldwide through strategic partnerships with over 200 incubators, accelerators, and ecosystem enablers.

The latest partnership between the two further marks a major move to bolster Malaysia’s startup ecosystem and innovation and empower the next generation of tech innovators across the country.
