Australia – Talkdesk, a customer experience technology firm, has announced the expansion of its global network through the launch of a new regional cloud deployment in Australia. This strategic move will enable local businesses to host their platforms within the country.
As per the firm, the recent deployment is designed to support businesses in banking, retail, and healthcare sectors by ensuring compliance with Australian data privacy regulations and enhancing voice quality through localised hosting at the same time.
Following the appointment of Simon Horrocks as APAC leader in February 2024, the expansion further aims to accelerate regional growth and innovation in AI-driven customer experience solutions.
Tiago Paiva, chief executive officer and founder at Talkdesk, commented, “APAC is an important market for Talkdesk—we’ve seen more than 100% growth in the region in the last six months due to our investments. The deployment of a regional cloud in Australia primes us for further growth and success by empowering businesses—including those in highly regulated industries.”
Simon Horrocks, vice president of APAC at Talkdesk, also stated, “Talkdesk remains at the forefront of generative AI innovations in the contact centre at a time when businesses need to deliver seamless CX more than ever. Some of Asia-Pacific’s largest banks, e-tailers, and business process outsourcers use Talkdesk, and the Australia Regional Cloud gives customers greater compliance with regulatory requirements.”
Talkdesk has expanded its footprint in the APAC region with the recent establishment of dedicated teams in Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, China, Thailand, Korea, and India. Said initiative is backed by a robust network of partners and sub-agents.
