Singapore – Euromonitor International, a market research firm, has recently announced the introduction of Passport AI, a platform that leverages generative AI to transform the way clients are able to access and use Euromonitor’s market intelligence.

According to the firm, the solution offers a combination of technologies and approaches that include large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-agent systems.

In this launch, the large language models function as the AI models trained on massive amounts of text data. Passport AI leverages LLMs to understand the natural language questions and identify relevant information within an extensive content library.

Another significant feature is the retrieval-augmented generation that ensures Passport AI stays grounded in fact-based information.

Instead of creating entirely new responses, RAG retrieves and summarises relevant content from trusted Euromonitor publications. This allows clients to verify the source of the information and feel confident in its reliability.

Meanwhile, the multi-agent system (MAS) brings an innovative system that acts behind the scenes, working like a team of virtual researchers.

MAS helps Passport AI refine questions and identify the most relevant information across content, even with terminology specific to Passport or newly introduced natural language search.

Speaking about the initiative, Lamine Lahouasnia, director of generative AI at Euromonitor International, commented, We are already the first destination for organisations seeking growth, and Passport AI’s impressive features, combining cutting-edge artificial intelligence with human intelligence, will ensure fast and easy access to our Passport product and our data analytics.

Lahouasnia further shared, “Unlike other generative AI tools, the information provided by Passport AI is 100% sourced from Euromonitor’s trusted content. This transparency allows users to interrogate the underlying sources and have complete confidence in the credibility of the answers they receive.”

Tim Kitchin, CEO at Euromonitor International, also remarked, “This significant investment in Passport AI underscores our dedication to empowering our clients. AI search has become table stakes, and we believe this powerful enhanced feature will help clients get even more value from the extensive market intelligence they already have access to within Passport.

“By providing clients with access to Passport AI, we will be equipping them to take data-driven decisions, make the most of opportunities, and achieve greater success, demonstrating our commitment to continuous product improvement,” added Kitchin.
