Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Aiming to support the growth of AI startups in the region, Google for Startups has recently unveiled the launch of its new AI academy across the Asia-Pacific, including Malaysia.
This effort will gather more than 20 startups at the forefront of artificial intelligence and will foster the APAC AI community as well as cross-border innovation and partnership. It will also encourage the exchange of ideas, expertise, and resources, accelerating the development of AI solutions and establishing APAC as a global hub for AI advancements.
As part of the initiative, selected startups will receive tailored mentorship with access to Google’s world-class AI experts for personalised guidance and support. They will also gain up to US$350,000 Google Cloud credits to fuel their AI development and experimentation.
Additionally, opportunities to connect and collaborate with other AI startups across the APAC region will also be among the benefits of being selected.
As it is designed to accelerate startups to the market, the AI Academy offers guidance on building a “proof of concept” and product roadmap, rapidly validating and enhancing their AI solutions. This will be made possible by applying Google Cloud tools to their own data, speeding up their path to success, and demonstrating the tangible value of their AI innovations.
The application period for this initiative is now open and will end on August 16, 2024.
