Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Qashier, a financial technology firm, has recently announced the launch of its QashierPay soundbox in Malaysia. This QR payment terminal is designed to advance the safety and security of digital payments, empowering businesses in the digital era.
In this launch, the company said that the QashierPay Soundbox provides real-time audio alerts, ensuring merchants are instantly notified when a payment is successfully received. This offers an easy and affordable solution for businesses to accept QR payments.
Also, with this solution, both merchants and consumers can anticipate seamless adoption, eliminating the need to modify existing payment systems or business processes.
It also enables the acceptance of the majority of e-wallet QR payments and DuitNow-enabled apps, including TNG e-wallet, Shopee Pay, BigPay, and more. The DuitNow QR code further enhances the ease of the payment experience as it offers a smoother checkout experience for customers.
Moreover, the QashierPay Soundbox allows viewing of transaction history in real-time, with up to five of the most recent transactions on the device itself.
With its trilingual capability, merchants can easily toggle between English, Malay, and Mandarin audio. In terms of payouts, on the other hand, merchants receive payouts from transactions the next business day, ensuring stronger cash flow for businesses.
Designed for SMEs, the solution is also Wi-Fi and SIM-enabled, enabling merchants to have the flexibility and portability of off-site usage like pop-up events or bazaars. It further fits seamlessly on any checkout counter with its sleek and compact design.
Travis Kok, senior vice president for SEA at Qashier, said, “It was natural for us to launch in Malaysia, following the strong reception of the QashierPay Soundbox launch in Singapore. As Malaysia progresses towards a cashless and digital-first society, we are committed to doubling down on our efforts to champion and support SMEs on this journey.”
“With the rise of fraudulent activities in the payment space, the QashierPay Soundbox can help reduce the risk of unnoticed fraudulent activity and also help SMEs overcome the cost and complexity so often associated with the adoption of digital payments so that they can focus on growing their business,” he further shared.
Launched in 2022, the QashierPay Soundbox is currently available in Singapore and Malaysia, and will soon be introduced across different markets, such as the Philippines and Thailand.
