Singapore – Digital technology and intelligence firm Alibaba Cloud has recently announced the introduction of its latest generative AI course, with the goal of supporting digital talent development and the accessibility of artificial intelligence.
The course is titled ‘Alibaba Cloud Certified Associate (ACA) Generative AI Engineer’ and will be made available starting May 2024 to its global customers, partners, and developers.
Developed by Alibaba Cloud Academy, the course provides fundamental knowledge about technology, covering topics such as the origins of machine learning, natural language processing, encoder-decoders, and generative adversarial networks, as well as leveraging models via retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and more.
It also enables users to develop the necessary skills to deploy generative AI applications on Alibaba Cloud platforms through its three-step approach: learn, imagine, and apply.
Users who complete the course and pass the exam will obtain an ACA certificate. This programme aims to equip 10,000–20,000 learners worldwide with basic AI knowledge by the end of 2024.
Since April 2023, more than 60,000 individuals from different backgrounds have already received training certificates through Alibaba Cloud’s talent development initiatives, which include university programmes, training partners, online training courses, and offline skills centres and training centres.
The Alibaba Cloud Academy provides over 300 online and offline certification courses, 17 professional certifications, 250 online hands-on labs, and over 300 associated partners worldwide.
Selina Yuan, president of international business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said, “Generative AI is a transformative technology promising to bring the creativity of individuals and companies to new heights. Our ACA Generative AI Engineer course aims to help customers, partners, developers, and users of various backgrounds globally to really unlock that potential and drive tomorrow’s digital agenda.”
“We are strongly committed to supporting talent in mastering essential digital skills, and we’re excited to continue expanding our training offerings around the world,” added Selina.
Recently, Alibaba Cloud launched its inaugural training centre in Singapore in collaboration with Trainocate Singapore, offering courses on a variety of topics, including cloud computing and AI. The centre aims to empower local customers, partners, and instructors with knowledge-sharing opportunities and organise events.
Skills Centres and Training Centres are Alibaba Cloud Academy’s latest initiative to enhance digital training capabilities worldwide and have launched six offline facilities in six markets.
