Noida, India – HCLTech and Anthropic have entered a global partnership to expand enterprise adoption of agentic artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on security, governance and large-scale deployment.
Under the agreement, HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic business unit and a Centre of Excellence to develop agentic AI solutions and support enterprise deployments of Claude.
The initiative will also provide secure sandbox environments and help organisations adopt AI-native engineering practices, train employees and develop capabilities to manage AI systems.
HCLTech’s services teams will develop industry-specific solutions using Claude, Cowork and Claude Code. The company will also integrate Claude and Claude Code into AI Force, its agentic software engineering platform, for applications including IT support, code remediation and digital employee services.
These workflows will include policy controls, exception handling and human oversight for changes with significant impact.
HCLSoftware will join Anthropic’s independent software vendor partner network, embedding Claude capabilities into selected enterprise products across cybersecurity, automation, business process applications and application development. Planned integrations include HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, alongside support for Actian AI Analyst.
“AI can only be as useful as it is trustworthy, and we build Claude to give companies the confidence to bring it into their most sensitive and valuable work,” said Daniela Amodei, Co-founder and President of Anthropic.
“HCLTech manages those kinds of systems for banks, hospitals, telecom companies and manufacturers, and we’re excited to partner with them as they integrate Claude and Claude Code. This partnership — and our broader commitment to advancing capability and safety together — is how AI will change the way entire industries run for the better,” Amodei continued.
“Few technology companies combine the scale of a global systems integrator with the product depth of an ISV,” said C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech.
“That gives us a rare advantage to securely engineer and deploy Agentic AI at scale and deliver the business outcomes that matter most to our clients. Our partnership with Anthropic further strengthens our capabilities to achieve the same,” Vijayakumar continued.
The partnership builds on HCLTech’s existing capabilities in engineering, data, cloud and software. The companies aim to help organisations move from AI experimentation to wider enterprise deployment while incorporating security controls and governance into implementation.
