Philippines – Globe Business has positioned G Verify, its Silent Network Authentication (SNA) service, as a way for Philippine financial institutions to verify users without one-time passwords. The company says the service uses mobile network intelligence to authenticate customers in the background.

The pitch comes as Republic Act No. 12010, or the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA), requires Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-Supervised Financial Institutions (BSFIs) to strengthen fraud detection, account verification, and security controls. At the same time, the growth of digital banking, e-wallets, and embedded finance is increasing pressure on lenders to protect customers from more sophisticated cyberattacks.

According to Globe Business, G Verify can help reduce the risk of SIM swap attacks, account takeovers, social engineering and other forms of digital fraud. The company adds that authenticating users in the background avoids adding friction to the customer experience.

Globe Business describes the regulatory shift as a move from reactive security to proactive, operational resilience. It says it combines API intelligence, cybersecurity frameworks and frictionless authentication to support institutions ranging from large commercial banks to local cooperatives.

“The financial services industry continues to evolve rapidly, and institutions are expected to innovate while protecting customers from increasingly complex cyber threats,” said Glenn Estrella, Globe Business Vice President.

“Organisations need solutions that strengthen security without creating unnecessary friction. Globe Business is committed to helping our partners simplify compliance, protect their customers, and continue innovating with confidence,” Estrella added.

Meanwhile, the industry’s attack surface continues to expand as financial services become more deeply integrated into digital platforms and everyday applications, the company noted. G Verify is its answer to those risks.

“Building trust in every digital transaction requires security that works quietly in the background without disrupting the customer experience,” continued Estrella.

“By combining cybersecurity expertise, intelligent APIs, and trusted network capabilities, Globe Business helps financial institutions strengthen fraud prevention while supporting the next generation of secure digital services,” Estrella concluded.
