Singapore – LogicMonitor has introduced new capabilities designed to help enterprises move beyond alert-based IT monitoring towards AI-assisted investigation and governed action, connecting infrastructure data, digital experience insights and automated workflows.

The Singapore announcement outlines enhancements across the company’s Autonomous IT platform, built on LogicMonitor Envision and Edwin AI, with digital experience and internet performance insights from Catchpoint. The approach aims to help IT teams identify operational issues, assess their business impact and take action within defined governance controls.

The expanded capabilities cover five areas: enterprise data foundations, unified context, AI-driven action, user experience, and action governance and trust.

The enterprise data foundation combines telemetry, including metrics, logs and cost signals, to give IT teams and AI systems broader evidence for analysing operational issues. Unified context links infrastructure, applications, services, dependencies, users and digital experiences to help teams determine the significance of incidents and identify affected services.

Edwin AI provides investigations, specialised agents and workflows intended to connect operational information with root-cause analysis and recommended next steps. The platform can also bring AI capabilities into existing tools, including LogicMonitor, Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow and command-line interfaces.

“Autonomous IT is not a switch customers flip overnight. It’s a progression from trusted visibility, to better decisions, to governed action,” said Prabhu Nakkeeran, Chief Technology Officer of LogicMonitor.

“Our AI-first platform gives teams the data and context they need to move forward at their own pace, while keeping people firmly in charge of policies, approvals, and operational risk,” Nakkeeran continued.

Improving data and operational context

LogicMonitor is expanding support for open standards such as OpenTelemetry, alongside broader application logs, cost signals and partition-level access controls. The company said these enhancements are intended to give AI systems more complete telemetry to support operational reasoning.

“AI is most valuable in IT operations when it helps teams understand what matters and take the next step with confidence,” said Karthik Sj, Chief AI Officer of LogicMonitor.

“Edwin AI combines investigation with specialized expertise for network, infrastructure and the IT workflows that keep the business moving. It brings that expertise into the tools teams already use while keeping people in control of what AI can see, recommend and do. As trust builds, teams can hand more of the work to AI,” Sj continued.

The unified context capabilities connect infrastructure topology and dependencies with business impact and measured digital experience. This is intended to help IT teams distinguish technical alerts from issues that have a greater effect on business services and users.

LogicMonitor MCP for Edwin AI also provides compatible AI clients with read-only access to monitoring context and Edwin AI intelligence. Authentication and permissions determine access, while governance controls are designed to support wider AI adoption within approved boundaries.

Customer business case highlights potential gains

LogicMonitor cited a deployment involving a US federal agency as its largest customer win to date. The agency’s business case projects a 182% return on investment over three years, more than 170,000 hours in annual productivity gains, a 70% reduction in downtime impact and a nine-month payback period.

The figures are projections from the business case rather than independently verified outcomes.

The platform is designed to support a gradual transition from guided investigation to governed remediation and more autonomous operations, with human oversight of policies, approvals and operational risk.

“Agentic operations is the engineering response to the growing complexity inherent in networked digital estates,” said Shannon Kalvar, IDC Senior Research Director for AIOps.

“Moving from visibility to more autonomous operations requires systems that can gather context and make bounded decisions at machine speed, while humans define the desired future state, establish governance and ensure the environment operates as intended,” Kalvar continued.

LogicMonitor said its approach is intended to connect monitoring data, operational context, AI-driven investigation and governance so that IT teams can progress from detecting issues to understanding their causes and taking accountable action.
