United States – Oracle has expanded its Digital Assets Data Nexus platform with new payment integrations, configurable wallet and smart contract controls, and AI-enabled monitoring to help banks manage transactions involving digital money.

The updates connect digital-asset transactions to existing banking and payment systems, allowing financial institutions to extend their ISO 20022-based operations to tokenised forms of money without building separate payment infrastructure.

Oracle said the platform can provide greater visibility across ledgers, support governance and compliance requirements, and use AI-assisted analysis to identify transaction anomalies, operational exceptions and liquidity pressures.

“As tokenised deposits, stablecoins, CBDCs, and other digital forms of money become more widely used in payments, settlement, and liquidity management, banks must support a growing range of assets, networks, and settlement models. At the same time, they need to preserve control over liquidity, risk, customer relationships, and operations,” said Mark Rakhmilevich, Vice President, Mission Critical Data Platform Technologies at Oracle.

“Oracle Digital Assets Data Nexus helps financial institutions move from experimentation to production by integrating digital assets with existing banking and payment systems. It provides resilience and enables governance and compliance controls for regulated operations, supporting a common operating model for money movement without creating a new silo for every asset or network,” Rakhmilevich continued.

Connecting digital assets with payment systems

Digital Assets Data Nexus is designed to support blockchain-based issuance, custody, transactions and governance. It can provision and operate multiple blockchain ledgers, manage custodial wallets and smart contracts, and coordinate on-chain and off-chain workflows, including atomic transactions across participating systems.

The platform will integrate with existing ISO 20022-based payment hubs and enterprise systems, mapping payment instructions, customers and accounts to digital wallets and payment rails. It can also return payment statuses, account reports and transaction notifications to existing payment hubs.

For Oracle Banking Payments customers, prebuilt integration will extend payment processing to tokenised money and digital-asset networks. The combined systems are designed to coordinate routing and execution alongside liquidity, funding, foreign exchange and settlement requirements.

Oracle also plans to support integration with Swift Ledger. The connection is intended to synchronise interbank payment commitments and transaction states with banks’ tokenised-deposit environments, coordinating workflows across wallets and existing payment systems. Settlement can then take place through established real-time gross settlement (RTGS) or correspondent banking rails.

AI-assisted monitoring and governance

Oracle said the platform embeds compliance and transaction controls into digital-asset workflows. These include integration with know-your-customer and know-your-business checks, sanctions and anti-money laundering screening, and policies governing wallet authorisation, transfer eligibility, transaction limits and approvals.

The platform will bring workflow audit trails, wallet-policy evaluations, transaction and ledger histories, and smart-contract state changes into Oracle AI Database. The unified data foundation is intended to support reconciliation, investigations, regulatory reporting, and control verification after transactions have been executed.

Its analytical capabilities include behavioural and graph analytics, vector-based similarity search and natural-language queries to help identify suspicious activity and relationships between transactions. Oracle said bringing these capabilities together can reduce data duplication, reconciliation work and data-management complexity.

Digital Assets Data Nexus APIs can also trigger policy-controlled actions based on these insights, including adjusting risk scores and transaction limits, changing approval thresholds, placing holds, suspending accounts or freezing token activity. Such actions are designed to retain human oversight.

Supporting multiple digital-asset use cases

The expanded offering builds on the platform’s multi-ledger tokenisation capabilities and supports modular cloud and on-premises deployment. It includes low-code tools, reference smart contracts, APIs and sample applications for use cases involving tokenised deposits, stablecoins, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), digital bonds and funds, and real-world assets.

Oracle said the platform is intended to help banks move digital-asset initiatives from experimentation into production while maintaining control over governance, compliance and settlement processes.
