India – SNP SE, a global provider of software for AI-enabled digital transformation and data management within the SAP environment, has appointed Neeraj Athalye as Managing Director for India.
Based in Mumbai, Athalye will lead SNP’s expansion in the country, helping customers build data foundations for business AI through the company’s Kyano® platform and Bluefield® approach.
The appointment brings more than 30 years of enterprise software experience to SNP’s India operations. Athalye has previously held senior roles at SAP, MatrixOne (Dassault Systèmes), Honda, John Deere, SUSE and, most recently, Icertis.
His background spans partner ecosystem development, high-growth business scaling and customer-centric innovation. As a result, SNP believes he is well placed to steer the company’s next phase of growth in the Indian market.
The move comes as SNP continues to broaden its footprint across Asia Pacific. At the same time, the company is investing further in AI-enabled capabilities designed to support SAP transformation projects.
SNP’s commitment to innovation was on display last month at Transformation World, its flagship annual event held in Heidelberg, Germany. There, the company unveiled new capabilities for its Kyano platform to customers, partners and experts from across the global SAP ecosystem.
Kyano combines software for data management, migration and continuous assessment of SAP landscapes. In doing so, it supports organisations throughout the full lifecycle of their SAP transformation journeys, including migrations from a range of ERP source systems, while also integrating partner capabilities via its ecosystem and Marketplace.
Among the newly introduced tools is Kyano Lorna, an Agentic AI Layer built on more than 30 years of SNP’s data transformation expertise. The tool delivers real-time insights and project-specific recommendations, embedded directly into transformation projects to help customers move faster without compromising accuracy, reliability or compliance.
Meanwhile, Kyano Oros extends the platform’s reach to unstructured data, which accounts for approximately 80% of enterprise data volumes. This category of data has historically remained largely inaccessible to traditional transformation tools.
Together, these capabilities are designed to help organisations in India accelerate and simplify SAP transformations, while also preparing their data landscapes for broader business AI applications.
Demand for SAP transformation projects continues to grow across India, fuelled by cloud adoption, digital transformation initiatives and rising investment in AI. Consequently, the country has become an increasingly important market within SNP’s wider Asia Pacific strategy.
In line with its partner-first approach, SNP plans to further expand its ecosystem of consulting, hyperscaler and technology partners. The company aims to combine Kyano with local delivery expertise and industry knowledge, supporting customers throughout their transformation journeys and accelerating time-to-value.
Phillip Miltiades, President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan, SNP Group, commented on the appointment, “We see significant growth potential in India and across the Asia Pacific region. India represents one of the most exciting opportunities for SNP, with growing demand for solutions that simplify complex SAP transformation programs while minimising business disruption. Neeraj’s experience will help us further expand our market presence and strengthen our partner-first strategy to deliver scalable, software-led transformation outcomes.”
