Huawei Cloud launches agentic infrastructure and CodeArts Agent OBT in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand – Huawei Cloud has announced the availability of its Agentic Infrastructure in Thailand and launched the open beta testing (OBT) of Huawei Cloud CodeArts Agent in the country, as the company seeks to support enterprise AI adoption and software development.

The announcements were made at Huawei Cloud Summit Thailand 2026 in Bangkok on July 24, where government representatives, businesses, industry partners, and technology stakeholders discussed the role of cloud and AI in Thailand’s digital economy.

Sunny Shang, President of Huawei Cloud APAC, outlined the company’s plans to work with customers and partners on AI development in Thailand. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society highlighted the government’s focus on accelerating digital transformation through national AI policies, public-sector AI adoption, and public-private collaboration.

The event also featured the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), which presented a government AI case study covering AI infrastructure and platforms, as well as chatbots and intelligent assistants intended to support government officials and improve citizen services.

Agentic infrastructure

Huawei Cloud Thailand CTO Surasak Wanichwatphibun said the company would continue strengthening its technology capabilities and computing infrastructure to support enterprise AI innovation.

At the center of the announcement was Agentic Infra, an infrastructure platform designed for developing and deploying AI agents. According to Huawei Cloud, the platform supports token generation, unified scheduling of general-purpose and AI computing resources, continuous learning, and autonomous and secure agent operations.

The company highlighted four components of Agentic Infra:

  • UnifiedBus-based AI Cluster Service (AICS): Designed to support efficient token generation.
  • Agentic Memory Storage Service (AMS): Provides petabyte-scale memory storage intended to address agent memory limitations and support long-horizon tasks and continuous learning.
  • AgentSphere: Provides a secure runtime environment for AI agents.
  • CCE VolcanoNext: Enables unified scheduling of general-purpose and AI computing resources.

CodeArts Agent open beta

Huawei Cloud also launched CodeArts Agent OBT in Thailand, giving developers and enterprises an opportunity to test the coding agent and provide feedback ahead of a broader release.

CodeArts Agent combines integrated development environment (IDE) capabilities with autonomous development functions and coding models. It supports project-level code generation, code completion, research and development knowledge question-and-answer functions, and unit test case generation.

The platform uses Specification-Driven Development (SDD), which Huawei Cloud said is designed to help development teams manage code quality from requirements through final delivery.

The release also introduces an Agent Team mode that can automatically form a development team, allowing multiple AI agents to collaborate and execute tasks concurrently.

Huawei Cloud said the tool is intended to reduce repetitive development work, improve developer efficiency, and help organisations accelerate the delivery of digital products and services.

The OBT is part of the company’s efforts to expand access to AI-assisted software development among Thailand’s developer community and organisations of different sizes.

Focus on enterprise AI security

Security, stability, and quality were also highlighted as priorities for enterprise AI adoption at the event.

Huawei Cloud said it has expanded its security capabilities across two areas: protecting AI systems and applying AI to cybersecurity.

Its model lifecycle security solution covers AI infrastructure, training data, model inference, and agent applications.

For organisations with data sovereignty and privacy requirements, Huawei Cloud said its dedicated security zones allow customers to manage their own encryption keys while preventing platform administrators from accessing customer data.

The company also cited software-hardware integration and hardware acceleration as measures intended to maintain encryption performance. Its Data Capsule technology is designed to restrict data use to authorised environments and automatically invalidate data if it is moved outside a designated security zone.

AI use cases across industries

Huawei Cloud Summit Thailand 2026 also showcased AI and cloud applications from organisations in Thailand.

Examples included AI platforms and intelligent assistants for the public sector, AI coding and large language models in banking, and AI-powered learning and skills development platforms for the human resources sector.

Huawei Cloud and its ecosystem partners also discussed how collaboration across the technology ecosystem could help organisations address industry-specific challenges and accelerate enterprise AI adoption.
