Singapore – Enterprise identity security company Ping Identity has named Akkasha Sultan as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), as the company looks to accelerate growth and deepen customer engagement across the region.

In the role, Sultan will lead Ping Identity’s growth strategy, customer engagement, and market expansion across APJ. He will also oversee the company’s regional operations, with responsibility for business strategy, revenue growth, and enterprise customer relationships.

Sultan brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience, having led the growth, transformation, and scaling of enterprise technology businesses across the Asia Pacific.

Before joining Ping Identity, Sultan held several leadership positions at Salesforce and Tableau, including vice president for Agentforce & Data Cloud in Australia and New Zealand, area vice president for key ASEAN markets, and general manager for Tableau’s analytics and AI business. In those roles, he worked with organisations across the region on initiatives involving data, AI, and digital transformation.

Earlier in his career, Sultan held senior leadership roles at Microsoft and Oracle, where he helped expand enterprise businesses across Asia Pacific and supported customers through major technology transitions.

Commenting on his appointment, Sultan said, “Organisations across APJ are rapidly moving from AI experimentation to deployment, and identity and governance will be critical to realising AI’s value safely. I look forward to working with our customers, partners, and teams to help them navigate that transformation while driving growth across the region.”

Sultan’s appointment comes as Ping Identity expands its Identity for AI strategy across the region, supporting organisations in governing AI agents and autonomous workloads alongside human identities.

Adnan Chaudhry, Chief Revenue Officer at Ping Identity, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Akkasha to Ping Identity to lead our APJ organisation during this phase of rapid expansion. Enterprises across APJ are rapidly moving AI into production, creating new requirements for identity, governance, and trust. Akkasha’s experience scaling high-growth businesses across the region will help accelerate our next phase of growth and support customers as they navigate the AI era.”
