London, United Kingdom – NTT DATA has expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to help enterprises move from artificial intelligence (AI) experimentation to large-scale deployment of agentic AI solutions built on Gemini Enterprise, the companies announced.
The expanded partnership combines Google Cloud’s AI, data and cloud platform capabilities with NTT DATA’s consulting, implementation, managed services and industry expertise. The companies said the initiative is designed to help organisations integrate AI into core business processes, improve productivity, accelerate deployment timelines, and address governance, security and compliance requirements.
As part of the collaboration, NTT DATA will establish a dedicated global Gemini Enterprise practice supported by joint business planning, technical training, certifications, engineering support and go-to-market investments. The company aims to certify 5,000 Gemini Enterprise experts globally.
The practice will focus on helping organisations deploy and adopt Gemini Enterprise solutions while creating repeatable frameworks for achieving business outcomes. NTT DATA and Google Cloud also plan to co-develop up to 500 AI agents for horizontal and industry-specific use cases, with the goal of providing reusable components that can accelerate AI adoption.
Under the initiative, the companies will deploy teams of AI-skilled engineers and industry specialists to work directly with clients. These teams will support solution development, implementation and operational challenges, with the aim of reducing deployment timelines and speeding up the transition from pilot projects to production environments.
The collaboration will cover a range of applications across sectors such as banking, insurance, manufacturing and retail. Planned use cases include business process redesign, cloud migration, software development, marketing optimisation, procurement and finance operations.
Key elements of the program include a global factory model for AI agent development and deployment, dedicated joint engineering and innovation teams, support for sovereign AI deployments that meet regulatory and data residency requirements, and a catalog of pre-built industry-specific AI agents and accelerators.
“Enterprises need a practical way to scale AI adoption, strengthen governance, enable their workforce and create measurable business value,” said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer, NTT DATA, Inc. “This expanded partnership with Google Cloud and NTT DATA is helping clients move beyond pilots and embed AI into the way their organisations operate, creating a faster and lower-risk path to enterprise-wide transformation.”
“We are seeing massive demand for AI agents that can fundamentally transform core business workflows,” said Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Google Cloud. “This expanded partnership combines Google Cloud’s leading AI platform with NTT DATA’s delivery strength. By developing hundreds of agents and training thousands of experts, NTT DATA is ensuring our joint customers have the specialised resources required to deploy sophisticated AI solutions at a global scale.”
The announcement comes as enterprises continue to increase investments in AI and cloud technologies. According to a recent NTT DATA client survey cited by the company, 99% of enterprises said AI is driving greater demand for cloud investment, while 88% reported that current cloud investment levels are placing AI, cloud-native and modernisation initiatives at risk.
NTT DATA said the expanded collaboration is intended to help organisations align AI initiatives with the cloud infrastructure needed to support large-scale deployment and business outcomes.
