Pax8 appoints Mel Thompson as VP of Experience for APAC

Sydney, Australia – Pax8 has appointed Mel Thompson as Vice President of Experience for the Asia-Pacific region, adding a telecommunications and operations executive to its regional leadership team as the company continues to expand its presence across APAC.

Based in Australia, Thompson joins Pax8 from Australian telecommunications company Optus, where she served as Head of Network Delivery Office. She has also held senior leadership roles at Vodafone Australia, One New Zealand, and NBN Co.

In her new position, Thompson will help oversee partner and vendor experience initiatives across the APAC region, with a focus on strengthening relationships within Pax8’s ecosystem and supporting the company’s growth strategy.

According to Pax8, Thompson brings experience in telecommunications, operations, business transformation and delivery. The company said she has led operating model development, managed complex delivery programs and worked on initiatives aimed at improving collaboration between organisations and vendor communities.

“Mel brings a powerful combination of operational leadership, strategic focus and people-first thinking to Pax8,” said Lindsay Keating, EVP and GM APAC, Pax8. “Her track record of building strong partnerships, leading through complexity and creating high-performing teams will be instrumental as we continue to elevate the experience we deliver for our partners across the region.”

Commenting on her appointment, Thompson said: “I’m incredibly excited to join Pax8 at such a pivotal time in its growth journey across APAC.

“What drew me to Pax8 is its strong culture, commitment to innovation, and genuine focus on partner success. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about building high-performing teams, simplifying complexity, and creating experiences that help customers and partners thrive. I’m looking forward to working alongside the Pax8 team and our partners to further strengthen the experience we deliver, scale for the future, and support the next phase of growth and transformation across the region.”

Pax8 said it remains focused on expanding its footprint in the APAC market through its cloud commerce marketplace, which is designed to help partners manage cloud purchasing, sales and operations.
