Fastly welcomes Bruce Bennie as new Area Vice President for ANZ

Sydney, Australia – Fastly has appointed Bruce Bennie as Area Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for the company’s operations across both markets.

Based in Sydney, Bruce will oversee regional business activities with an emphasis on expanding revenue, strengthening relationships with customers and partners, supporting product-led innovation, and contributing to the company’s continued growth strategy in the region.

He joins the business with more than three decades of experience in IT sales and management within the Australian and New Zealand technology and telecommunications sectors. His background includes work across telecommunications, financial services and government-related industries, alongside advisory roles for venture capital-backed businesses and publicly listed firms.

“I’ve been genuinely impressed with Fastly’s innovations and the future roadmap around edge cloud innovation, AI-ready infrastructure, application security, and a focus on delivering low-latency experiences closer to end users,” Bruce shared.

“The ANZ business has an incredible growth opportunity, and I am committed to helping our customers and partners, both new and existing, achieve transformational results while creating outstanding experiences for their own customers and employees.”

The appointment forms part of Fastly’s broader regional plans as demand grows for edge cloud services, cybersecurity capabilities, AI-ready infrastructure and low-latency digital delivery.

“Bruce’s exceptional breadth of experience across enterprise technology and team leadership is a strong addition to Fastly’s business in Australia and New Zealand,” Nicola Gerber, Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan at Fastly, commented.

“His expertise in scaling businesses, creating and executing on global strategies in the region, as well as advising IT decision makers, will play a pivotal role as we expand our business, deepen our partnerships, and continue to deliver transformative outcomes for organisations.”
