Haleon adopts SAP Business Suite to strengthen digital infrastructure and AI capabilities

Singapore – SAP SE and Haleon have announced that the global consumer health company will adopt SAP Business Suite to strengthen its digital infrastructure and expand the use of artificial intelligence (AI) across its operations.

The move is intended to support Haleon’s efforts to modernise its technology foundation and enable the company to scale operations and deliver its consumer health products more efficiently. The initiative marks a step in Haleon’s broader transformation strategy as it seeks to enhance operational agility and support future growth.

“Delivering a better consumer experience starts with strong foundations, and leading digital technology and infrastructure are at the heart of this,” said Claire Dickson, Haleon’s chief digital and technology officer. “Our latest partnership with SAP is another important step in our journey to becoming a world-class consumer company.”

She added, “It will revolutionise how we operate, with AI-enabled systems driving faster, simpler, more integrated ways of working. This will allow our people to focus on what matters most—serving consumers and unlocking growth.”

Under the agreement, SAP Business Suite will be implemented to simplify and standardise key processes across Haleon’s global operations. The platform is expected to enable more integrated and automated workflows across different functions of the organisation.

The company said the system will provide improved visibility across markets and replace fragmented workflows with more unified processes, enabling faster and more consistent operations. These changes are expected to support supply chain responsiveness, strengthen collaboration with healthcare professionals, and help the company respond to evolving consumer needs.

The integrated platform will connect core business processes including finance, supply chain, human resources, and sales into a single system using real-time data. Haleon said embedding AI into these functions will support data-driven decision-making and allow teams to respond more quickly to changes in demand.

The automation of routine tasks is also expected to free up employees to focus on higher-value work, supporting both operational efficiency and business growth.

The transformation builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. Haleon currently operates on SAP ERP Central Component and plans to begin transitioning to the new platform later this year.

“AI outcomes depend on connected processes and trusted data,” said Peter Maier, SAP’s senior vice president for strategic customer engagements. “With SAP Business Suite, Haleon is building an AI-ready foundation that embeds intelligence across the enterprise, helping simplify operations, improve resilience and scale innovation.”

As part of the rollout, Haleon plans to adopt SAP Cloud ERP applications with embedded AI and implement SAP Business Data Cloud to unify data from SAP software and third-party sources into a single governed platform.

The company said the connected environment will support AI-assisted innovation and enable agentic AI capabilities, where AI agents can identify potential issues earlier and recommend actions across key business processes.
