Fynd expands to Indonesia to support AI-driven retail digitalisation

Jakarta, Indonesia – Fynd, a retail technology provider supported by Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, has commenced operations in Indonesia as part of its wider expansion across Southeast Asia.

Indonesia represents the largest online retail market in the region, contributing more than half of Southeast Asia’s overall e-commerce transaction value. The country’s digital economy is forecast to surpass US$130b by 2025, supported by an internet user base exceeding 221 million.

Fynd’s entry into Indonesia centres on deploying its AI-based commerce infrastructure, designed to connect physical retail, digital storefronts, design, production and supply chain management within a single framework. Its StoreOS system provides POS functionality, extended inventory access and customer engagement tools, while Storefront enables scalable e-commerce operations tailored to brand requirements.

Meanwhile, Fynd Konnect facilitates integration with major regional marketplaces such as Shopee, Lazada and TikTok, allowing merchants to oversee multiple sales channels through a consolidated interface. The company also offers warehouse and transport management systems aimed at improving stock control and delivery coordination.

“Indonesia doesn’t need incremental e-commerce tools—it needs modern retail infrastructure,” Ronak Modi, chief business officer of Global at Fynd, stated.

“Our entry into Indonesia is about enabling the entire value chain with AI—from design and garment creation to unified commerce and intelligent fulfilment.”

Additionally, Fynd is introducing Fynd Create, a service layer focused on product development and production processes. This includes design support, garment production services and AI-assisted visual content generation, intended to reduce reliance on conventional sampling and photography while accelerating the transition from concept to market.

Collectively, the platform is intended to provide Indonesian retailers and fashion businesses with a unified structure encompassing product development, sales execution, inventory oversight and last-mile logistics within a single digital ecosystem.

To encourage sector-wide adoption, Fynd has entered into collaboration with Asosiasi Pengusaha Garmen dan Aksesoris Indonesia APGAI), an industry body established in the early 1990s with government backing to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s garment and accessories sector.

“By partnering with APGAI and bringing our AI-native platform to the market, we aim to help Indonesian brands scale faster, operate more efficiently, and compete confidently on a global stage,” Ronak added.

Its membership includes established retail groups such as Delami Group and Sorella Group. Through this arrangement, the parties intend to work on advancing digital capabilities, updating design and manufacturing workflows and enhancing omnichannel retail infrastructure among member companies.

The launch in Indonesia adds to Fynd’s existing footprint in India, the Gulf Cooperation Council region and Africa, reinforcing its strategy to support retailers and fashion brands in emerging digital commerce markets.
