Singapore – Oracle has entered into a collaboration with Digital Industry Singapore, a joint office of the Economic Development Board, Enterprise Singapore and the IMDA, to support Singapore’s Enterprise Compute Initiative.
The programme seeks to accelerate the adoption of AI across sectors by assisting organisations in establishing dedicated internal AI capabilities, including AI teams and centres of excellence, within Singapore.
Through the Oracle AI Customer Excellence Centre in Singapore, Oracle plans to provide support of up to S$250,000 per participating organisation to as many as 300 locally based enterprises. This support will be delivered through a mix of Oracle Universal Credits, training opportunities, certification programmes and discovery workshops to help organisations progress their AI strategies.
“AI is transforming everything from how organisations operate to how people learn and innovate,” Garrett Ilg, executive vice president of Japan and Asia Pacific at Oracle, stated.
“Through the Oracle AI Customer Excellence Centre and our participation in the Enterprise Compute Initiative, we are making AI accessible for Singapore enterprises—including the 11 Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) sectors that handle sensitive data.”
For companies that require dedicated private cloud environments, Oracle will additionally sponsor up to S$1.9m per enterprise to facilitate access to Oracle Private Cloud Appliance and Oracle Exadata, offering enterprise-grade performance, scalability and security.
These measures are complemented by government support that covers up to 70% of eligible consultancy costs, capped at S$105,000 per enterprise, with the overall objective of reducing adoption barriers and enabling broader, large-scale use of AI technologies.
“We are glad that Oracle will be offering 300 Singapore-based businesses access to Oracle’s AI tools and expertise, particularly those in the Critical Information Infrastructure sectors who need access to private cloud solutions,” Philbert Gomez, senior vice president, head and executive director of Digital Industry Singapore, commented.
“This collaboration will accelerate companies’ AI ambitions in Singapore, strengthening our position as a global AI hub that unlocks competitiveness through the technology ecosystem here.”
The initiative is intended to benefit organisations across a range of industries, including those operating in Singapore’s Critical Information Infrastructure sectors that handle sensitive data and may require private cloud deployments. By combining public sector support with commercial technology resources, the collaboration aims to strengthen Singapore’s position as a regional hub for enterprise AI development and deployment.
As part of the broader initiative, Oracle’s training programmes contribute to its commitment to equip up to 10,000 students and professionals in Singapore with digital and AI-related skills by 2027. Participating organisations are expected to use the initiative to modernise operations, strengthen in-house expertise and pursue data-driven innovation across sectors, including the public sector, healthcare, financial services and telecommunications.
