Zebra Technologies expands APAC leadership team to support regional business growth

Singapore – Zebra Technologies Corporation, a provider of solutions focused on digitalising and automating frontline operations, has announced a series of senior leadership appointments and role expansions across the APAC region.

The changes are intended to enhance customer engagement and partner cooperation as organisations across the region respond to labour constraints, ongoing supply chain volatility, and increasing pressure to modernise operational processes.

As part of its regional strategy, Zebra has appointed Tom Christodoulou as sales vice president with responsibility for Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia and South Korea. Based in Singapore, he will oversee sales strategy across the enlarged territory.

Tom previously led sales activities for Australia, New Zealand and India. He will work alongside established local leaders, including Brett Newstead in Australia and New Zealand and Heejung Seo in South Korea.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, his focus will be on supporting organisations to strengthen supply chain resilience through enhanced frontline connectivity, improved asset visibility and data-driven decision-making enabled by AI.

“Organisations are under immense pressure to improve productivity and meet rising customer expectations,” Tom shared.

He added, “We will continue helping businesses solve these challenges with intelligent  automation, and I’m excited to deepen our collaboration to support their critical modernisation journeys.”

Alongside Tom’s new appointment, a newly created regional position, Christanto Suryadarma has been named as head of partnerships for Asia-Pacific. He previously served as sales vice president overseeing Southeast Asia, South Korea and channel operations across the region, excluding China.

“Our partners are essential for deploying solutions that build more intelligent operations for customers,” Christanto commented.

“I look forward to  empowering our ecosystem with stronger collaboration and the best solutions to solve the intelligent  operations challenges of today and tomorrow.”

In his new role, Christanto will be responsible for developing and executing Zebra’s regional partner strategy, to expand an ecosystem that delivers solutions for sectors including retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and healthcare. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across APAC and will focus on supporting partners as they help customers modernise their operations.

Zebra has also made additional appointments to address rising demand in key markets. Subramaniam Thiruppathi has been named country lead for India, following nearly two decades with the company during which he has played a key role in driving technology adoption across manufacturing, retail and logistics.

Joelle Booi has been appointed country lead for Singapore, bringing over 15 years of experience at Zebra and a background in advancing digital solutions across both public and private sectors, particularly in manufacturing and AI.

In addition, Ryan Goh, who previously served as senior vice president and general manager for Asia-Pacific and global OEM, has assumed responsibility for Zebra’s Global Original Equipment Manufacturer business alongside his regional role.

“Our expanded leadership bench across APAC strategically positions our best talent to collaborate closely with our customers and partners, driving productivity and advancing digital capabilities,” Ryan shared.

He will lead global strategy for the OEM portfolio, supporting customers that integrate Zebra technologies, such as scanning components, into specialised solutions for their respective markets.

The expanded leadership structure reflects Zebra’s focus on aligning regional expertise with customer and partner needs as businesses across Asia-Pacific continue to invest in automation, digital capabilities and more resilient operating models.
