8x8 acquires Maven Lab, strengthening customer engagement capabilities in APAC

Singapore – 8×8, Inc., a global provider of cloud-based business communications platforms, has completed the acquisition of Maven Lab, a Singapore-headquartered company specialising in mobile marketing and enterprise messaging.

The transaction supports 8×8’s strategy to broaden end-to-end customer engagement offerings across the APAC region by expanding locally developed messaging, automation, and engagement capabilities designed for regional scale and regulatory requirements.

The addition of Maven Lab enhances 8×8’s ability to support enterprise and public-sector organisations that rely on secure, high-volume communications tailored to local markets. Maven Lab’s experience in delivering deployable messaging solutions is expected to complement 8×8’s communications platform, increasing coverage across multiple channels and improving support for organisations operating across diverse APAC markets.

“Maven Lab brings deep experience delivering packaged, outcome-oriented messaging solutions that customers can deploy quickly,” Sylvain Chaperon, general manager of CPaaS at 8×8, Inc., commented.

“Together, we will expand our ability to help APAC organisations run secure, high-volume customer communications across more channels, with expanded regional coverage and support.”

Maven Lab’s cloud-based customer engagement platform, Moobidesk, will be integrated with 8×8’s customer experience portfolio to create a more unified and scalable offering for the region. This integration is intended to improve enterprise messaging performance while extending support for a wider range of customer interaction channels, including those emerging across the region.

Following the acquisition, the combined teams will assess opportunities to enhance engagement functionality through richer interaction formats, more advanced automation, and expanded channel support. These developments are expected to benefit organisations in sectors such as financial services, e-commerce, healthcare, logistics and travel by improving efficiency, consistency and governance in customer communications.

“Joining forces with 8×8 is a step-change for what our customers can do next,” Hiew Wee Soon, co-founder and CEO at Maven Lab, stated.

“We are bringing Singapore-built messaging and engagement capabilities together with 8×8’s global scale, security, and CPaaS expertise so organisations across SEA and beyond can launch richer customer journeys faster, automate more intelligently, and communicate with greater reliability.”

Maven Lab’s solutions are currently used by regional organisations in industries including healthcare, media and transport, supporting large volumes of notifications and customer interactions each year.

By leveraging 8×8’s global infrastructure, regional data centres and compliance framework, customers are anticipated to gain improvements in reliability, data security and message delivery performance.

The combined portfolio is also expected to enable more advanced automation and omnichannel engagement capabilities for organisations operating across the APAC region.
