DHL Express names Herbert Vongpusanachai as SVP for Commercial in Asia Pacific

Singapore – DHL Express has appointed Herbert Vongpusanachai as Senior Vice President for Commercial in Asia Pacific, effective on 1 April 2026. He relocates to Singapore to assume regional responsibilities, having most recently overseen operations in Thailand and Indochina as managing director.

Herbert brings more than 20 years of experience within the organisation, having led several markets across Asia. His tenure includes earlier leadership positions in Thailand and Indochina, followed by assignments in Singapore and later Hong Kong and Macau. Since returning to Thailand and Indochina in 2020, he has overseen consistent financial expansion and strengthened the cluster’s contribution to regional performance.

“APAC remains an important anchor in global trade as seen in the latest DHL Global Connectedness Report, and this indicates the unwavering role of logistics to facilitate the flow of goods,” Herbert mentioned.

“I look forward to working alongside our talented teams to contribute to shaping the next chapter of DHL Express’s commercial success.”

In his new position, Herbert will be responsible for advancing the company’s commercial direction across APAC. The role involves working across functions to identify growth opportunities in emerging sectors, trade routes and logistics corridors, while strengthening client relationships and supporting customer expansion.

He is also tasked with encouraging the uptake of digital tools and innovations to improve commercial delivery and operational efficiency across markets.

“Herbert has an exceptional track record of delivering strong business results while nurturing highly engaged teams across diverse markets,” Ken Lee, CEO for Asia Pacific at DHL Express, stated.

“His deep understanding of our customers, collaborative leadership style, and ability to unearth opportunities in complex environments make him the ideal leader to drive our commercial agenda for APAC.”

DHL Group has identified multiple markets in the region as part of its broader strategy to accelerate global growth, reflecting the region’s importance within its international network.
