Australia – Vudoo, an advertising tech company, has recently announced the appointment of Drew Perry as the company’s new managing director for Asia Pacific.

In this position, he is set to lead the development of strategies specifically designed for the Asia Pacific market, aiming to bolster the company’s presence and drive its growth.

His responsibilities further include working on Vudoo’s relationships with agency networks while also using his understanding of market dynamics to build strong ties with brands, retailers, and agencies at regional and local levels.

Additionally, he will focus on developing strategies aimed at driving adoption and forming strategic partnerships within the changing digital commerce media environment.

Perry boasts nearly ten years of experience in the ad tech sector, having served leadership positions at Comcast-owned FreeWheel and AOL. He is also the founder of Autonic, a business automation firm.

Speaking about the appointment, Nick Morgan, chief executive officer and founder at Vudoo, stated, “We are delighted to welcome Drew to the team. His extensive experience in the advertising and ad tech industry, specifically on a global and local scale, is a great win for Vudoo.”

“Drew’s values and strategic outlook align very well with the Vudoo team, and we’re confident that his leadership will help drive our commercial and cultural goals, setting a strong foundation for the next phase of our growth across this key market in realising the Vudoo vision,” he further explained.

Perry also said, “I was drawn to Vudoo as it is at the forefront of innovation in commerce media, particularly in driving direct consumer engagement through interactive shoppable ads. The ability to connect brands and audiences with seamless purchasing at the point of inspiration is incredibly exciting.”

“Vudoo’s platform equips businesses to rethink and reimagine what a campaign can be, providing them with a point of differentiation to bolster engagement and drive innovative and effective results while measuring intent signals along the way. I’m excited to spearhead this transformation, particularly in APAC, where there’s huge growth potential in piloting innovative solutions,” added Perry.

The strategic appointment follows the recent addition of Raj Chauhan as the president of the Americas and coincides with a global partnership between Vudoo and IPG Mediabrands’ KINESSO Commerce. This initiative intends to provide continuous commerce media functionality, ensuring that content remains shoppable across the open web.
