Singapore – Global payments infrastructure provider Thunes has appointed Chloé Mayenobe as deputy chief executive officer, marking a significant leadership move as the company advances its international growth and operational scale.
Chloé was previously serving as president and chief operating officer, where she oversaw day-to-day management and organisational development.
In her new position, she assumes broader responsibilities that combine strategic direction with execution, working closely with the board and chief executive to shape the company’s long-term priorities and ensure delivery across the business.
“I am honoured to step into the Deputy CEO role. Thunes is at a pivotal moment where operational rigour must meet aggressive strategic expansion,” Chloé stated.
She added, “My focus will be on leveraging our global network to unlock new revenue streams, integrating predictive intelligence into our decision-making, and ensuring our culture of high performance translates directly to client success.”
Chloé’s responsibilities also extend across the organisation’s enterprise strategy, including network development, mergers and acquisitions, technology, product development, marketing, sales operations, and global operations. She will continue to report to Thunes co-founder Peter De Caluwe, who remains chief executive officer and deputy chairman.
“Chloé is more than an operational leader; she is a strategic visionary who understands how to turn ambition into enterprise value,” Peter commented.
He added, “With Chloé fine-tuning the high-performance engine of our day-to-day operations, I am focused on the road ahead, steering our strategic vision and cementing Thunes as the world’s definitive global payment infrastructure.”
Since joining the company in 2023, Chloé has played a key role in strengthening corporate governance and supporting regulatory expansion, including the completion of licensing requirements across the United States. She was also closely involved in the company’s Series D fundraising, which secured US$150m to support further international expansion.
The leadership change reflects Thunes’ focus on reinforcing its executive structure as it scales its global payments network and pursues new commercial opportunities across multiple markets.
