Indonesia – Cloud services provider Tencent Cloud has announced its recent affiliation with multi-cloud expert Hi Cloud, bringing together advanced news delivery services for Indonesia-based news outlet TribunNews.

Through this partnership, Tencent Cloud’s advanced technology solutions will be utilised to improve the TribunX Super App, offering users an innovative news experience. Hi Cloud, on the other hand, will lead the infrastructure development for building the newly enhanced app.

As a platform now reimagined for news delivery through cloud, this solution enables TribunX to leverage Tencent Cloud’s cloud video processing technologies to provide an exceptional user experience. With features like real-time messaging protocol, adaptive bitrate, and live transcoding, users can now enjoy a seamless, high-quality audio-visual experience regardless of their device or network conditions.

Furthermore, the enhanced security offered by Digital Rights Management guarantees that the platform is safe and trusted. Tencent Cloud’s global content delivery network, on the other hand, further enhances the user experience by providing fast and reliable access to TribunX’s content across different regions, elevating the overall user experience.

Jimmy Chen, vice president at Tencent Cloud International and managing director at Southeast Asia, stated, “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Tribun on this transformative project that consolidates the news experience all over Indonesia. Our cloud computing solutions, coupled with Tribun’s commitment to hyperlocal news and user-centric services, have resulted in an innovative super app that sets new standards in the news media industry.”

“We look forward to the results and benefits of this groundbreaking project that keeps Indonesians up to date in news consumption in the digital era,” Jimmy added.

Dahlan Dahi, CEO at Tribun Network, also shared, “The partnership between Tribun and Tencent Cloud signifies a new era in news delivery as we go full throttle in our digital transformation journey. By leveraging Tencent Cloud’s expertise in cloud computing and its cutting-edge media solutions, we have created a super app that not only addresses the needs of our users but also provides a seamless and personalised news and media experience for a variety of other services.”

With Tencent Cloud’s support, TribunX has already implemented a mobile-centric approach, ensuring consumers seamless migration, management, stability, security, and cost-efficiency.

Additionally, users can now access the platform’s content archive and enjoy added features such as live streaming, video on demand, interactive video features, and multi-screen compatibility made possible with Tencent’s online video platform, cloud object storage, and cloud database.
