Singapore – Telin (Telekomunikasi Indonesia International Pte Ltd) has selected Nokia’s optical transport solution to interconnect data centres across Singapore, creating a highly available, reliable, and scalable island-wide network.
The deployment is designed to strengthen data centre interconnect (DCI) capacity and provide efficient, low-latency connectivity for enterprise customers, technology providers and hyperscalers operating in Singapore.
The upgraded network will leverage Nokia’s latest pluggable coherent optical technology, the 1830 GX compact modular platform, and its open optical line system. Together, these technologies will enable Telin to deliver enhanced performance, scalability and cost-effective connectivity across its Singapore footprint.
Indarto Nata, CEO of Telin in Singapore, commented on the company’s commitment to delivering connectivity solutions to all customers, connecting Singapore with the global community.
“With Nokia’s industry-leading solutions, together we can modernise our network, expanding our services and scale to meet the increasing bandwidth needs of our customers while reducing our total cost of ownership,” Indarto commented.
Telin’s interconnected data centres are strategically located to provide island-wide coverage, enabling high-speed and low-latency connections between key facilities.
“Singapore has always been one of the places where the world comes to do business,” Ron Johnson, senior vice president and general manager of optical networks at Nokia, stated.
“Telin and Nokia are building a superior data centre interconnect network, strengthening Singapore’s digital foundation and preparing it for continued growth in the AI era.”
With the integration of Nokia’s optical solutions, the network will be equipped to meet growing demand for bandwidth-intensive applications and digital services, supporting Singapore’s position as a leading hub for global business and technology.
