India – Tech Mahindra has launched an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Agentic Process Transformation (APT) Centre of Excellence (CoE) aimed at helping enterprises move agentic AI projects from experimentation into production.
The centre combines Tech Mahindra Business Process Services’ (BPS) process expertise with AWS cloud and agentic AI capabilities. The companies said it will focus on developing and deploying industry-specific AI solutions designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and support decision-making.
The initiative will target sectors including telecommunications, healthcare, banking and financial services, retail and manufacturing, with an emphasis on governed, enterprise-scale AI deployments.
“Enterprises are moving quickly on AI, but many still struggle to scale beyond pilots and fragmented use cases,” said Birendra Sen, President of Business Process Services at Tech Mahindra.
“With the AWS APT CoE, we are bringing together Tech Mahindra BPS’ process expertise and AWS-native AI capabilities to help customers operationalize Agentic AI with stronger governance, faster execution, and measurable business impact,” Sen continued.
The centre’s first jointly developed solution, Collections Guru, has been deployed by Target Group, a UK-based financial services outsourcing provider, for arrears management operations.
Collections Guru is an agentic AI-powered collections agent developed by Tech Mahindra and AWS. The companies said the solution uses AWS cloud and AI infrastructure to optimise collection strategies, with Target Group reporting anticipated efficiency gains of around 40% in areas where the technology has been rolled out.
“Since introducing the Collections Guru agent, we’re seeing encouraging early results, including anticipated efficiency gains of around 40% in the areas where it’s been rolled out. It’s been a valuable step in how we’re modernising our operations.,” said Katie Pender, Chief Operating Officer at Target Group.
AWS said the new centre could provide a framework for partners and customers to develop and deploy AI-enabled business processes.
“In a time of rapid technological change, a Center of Excellence becomes the anchor that helps partners and customers learn together, deliver value faster, and reimagine business processes with confidence,” said Chandra Pinapala, GSI Director at AWS.
Tech Mahindra said the APT CoE will also support its AWS-focused AI services strategy by expanding customer opportunities and developing scalable delivery models for industry-specific AI projects.
The company said the centre is intended to accelerate the transition from AI pilots to production deployments while incorporating governance and other requirements associated with enterprise adoption.
