Mumbai, India – Tata Communications, a telco company, has recently announced its strategic partnership with multinational cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks to provide advanced cybersecurity solutions to global enterprises.

In this collaboration, Palo Alto Networks cutting-edge technologies will be integrated with Tata Communications digital fabric of solutions and industry expertise across network security, cloud security, cyberthreat detection and response, security assessment, and consulting services.

This strategic agreement further aims to offer a strong cloud and cybersecurity fabric of services and technologies, including advanced threat hunting, incident response, and compliance capabilities, where Palo Alto Networks Precision AI-powered platform combines the capabilities of SIEM, XDR, SOAR, and other SOC tools to streamline security operations.

It also intends to provide proactive threat isolation and resolution with embedded threat intelligence through Tata Communications’ unified, cloud-delivered security solution that integrates network security, cloud security, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) 2.0 capabilities, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

This could be further strengthened by utilising the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access platform, a cloud-based platform for network security services that offers consolidated security at the edge for end-users.

In addition, Tata Communications will provide dedicated managed services, including end-to-end lifecycle management of Palo Alto Networks solutions, enabling customers to concentrate on their core operations.

An optimised security posture and enhanced user experience are also among them, with the partnership aiming to deliver rapid detection and reduced response times using simplified security management. Customers will further benefit from consolidating multiple security vendors and services under a single provider.

Lastly, Tata Communications conducts a thorough evaluation of existing security infrastructures and provides a strategic roadmap, offering real-time analytics, threat intelligence, and a comprehensive use case library.

“It’s critical for businesses to adopt a platform-centric approach to cybersecurity as attack surfaces expand and threats become more complex,” said Vaibhav Dutta, associate vice president and global head of cybersecurity products and services at Tata Communications

“Our strategic collaboration with Palo Alto Networks stitches together all the essential solutions and tools into a single cloud and cybersecurity fabric – simplifying and streamlining enterprise security management,” he further shared.

Michelle Saw, VP GTM and ecosystems, JAPAC at Palo Alto Networks, also remarked, “Tata Communications proven capabilities as a managed cybersecurity service provider and commitment to excellence perfectly complement our advanced technologies.”

“Together, we are confident of empowering future forward enterprises worldwide to further strengthen their security posture, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risks effectively,” added Saw.
