Singapore – StarHub has entered into a memorandum of understanding with NeutraDC, the data centre subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia, to broaden cooperation on technologies designed to strengthen quantum-safe network resilience and support the wider digital services landscape in Southeast Asia.
The arrangement centres on developing connectivity that can accommodate future encryption standards, including post-quantum cryptography, while supporting the continued expansion of secure infrastructure across the region.
The collaboration will link StarHub’s low-latency interconnect capabilities with NeutraDC’s carrier-neutral data centre network, which hosts an expanding base of enterprise users and hyperscale operators in Indonesia and Singapore.
By combining these assets, both companies intend to offer quicker, more secure and more dependable data movement across borders, supporting organisations that rely on responsive digital operations and need to adapt rapidly to shifting market conditions.
“Enterprises today are navigating unprecedented data demands, and they need infrastructure that can keep up with their growth,” Tan Kit Yong, chief regional enterprise at StarHub, commented.
“Through this collaboration with NeutraDC, we’re making it simpler for businesses to move, protect, and scale their data, helping them unlock real performance advantages and accelerate their digital transformation across the region.”
A key component of the agreement involves the establishment of a StarHub point of presence at NeutraDC SNG-3 in Singapore. This will embed StarHub’s low-latency data centre connectivity within NeutraDC’s infrastructure, allowing enterprises to access high-performance pathways between facilities, cloud services and critical applications.
The move also aligns with Singapore’s ongoing position as a regional digital gateway, offering organisations simplified and secure access to data resources distributed throughout Southeast Asia.
“This strategic initiative strengthens NeutraDC’s strategy of providing seamless, secure and cloud-ready connectivity to our regional Neutra Compute GPU clouds,” Sendang Praptomo, chief executive officer of NeutraDC Singapore, stated.
“Quantum secure connectivity represents the new frontier of security, overcoming the limitations of current encryption standards. This will empower our customers to stay ahead of emerging threats and meet evolving business requirements.”
The initiative reflects the rising importance of high-speed, resilient data exchange as enterprises scale multi-cloud environments and distributed workloads. StarHub’s low-latency network supports rapid links to cable landing stations in Singapore, enabling seamless regional reach for data-intensive tasks that depend on consistent performance.
The agreement also contributes to StarHub’s broader objective of extending its low-latency data centre ecosystem across Southeast Asia.
By working with NeutraDC, the company aims to widen access to cloud-ready, quantum-safe and performance-driven interconnectivity for organisations seeking to modernise their digital infrastructure and support next-generation enterprise environments.
