Singapore – Global blockchain technology company EMURGO Group has announced its partnership with the Institute of Blockchain (IBS) to expand the blockchain education course catalogue and credential new blockchain professionals.
In this new partnership, EMURGO and IBS will work together to organise blockchain education programmes, ranging from in-person workshops, webinars, curated learning modules, and other courses that will cover the latest trends and narratives in both the Cardano ecosystem and the general blockchain industry for business professionals.
The partnership comes as both companies understand that a lack of formal education programmes from accredited institutions, inconsistent boot camp schedules, and unreliable independent learning options are causing the opportunities for quality blockchain education to be fragmented.
IBS is Singapore’s first blockchain institute, training 2,000 learners from nine countries across the world. The institute has worked with corporate clients such as Deloitte Touche, Singapore Customs Academy, Singapore Polytechnic Guild House, Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (Nanyang Polytechnic), and Securities Commission Malaysia & Fintech Academy.
Ken Kodama, CEO of EMURGO, said, “EMURGO is a firm believer in the power of education to serve as a foundation for success. Equipping people and organisations with the tools and knowledge to learn and use blockchain to build truly impactful products and services sets the stage for future success. With IBS, EMURGO will strive to train and credential more new professionals by leveraging our educational and network resources.”
Ian Lee, president of IBS, also said, “The Institute of Blockchain has always believed that the path to adoption lies in collaboration and education. As the space evolves rapidly, it is vital for industry participants to come together and leverage on each other’s expertise and knowledge to remain at the forefront of innovation. IBS is very excited to partner with EMURGO to foster the next generation of Web3 innovators by providing them with the knowledge and platform to flourish.”
