Palo Alto Networks enhances AI enterprise security with NVIDIA AI factory integration

Singapore – Palo Alto Networks has confirmed support for the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory validated design as enterprises increasingly adopt dedicated AI infrastructure in place of traditional computing environments.

As AI becomes a key driver of competitiveness, organisations are seeking architectures that can support the full AI lifecycle while maintaining strong security without compromising performance or efficiency.

The company’s Prisma AIRS platform, accelerated by the NVIDIA BlueField data processing unit, has been incorporated into the validated design to embed zero-trust security directly within AI infrastructure. This approach enables protection across on-premises and cloud environments while reducing operational complexity and overhead.

“The validation of Palo Alto Networks Prisma AIRS accelerated with NVIDIA BlueField within the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory enables a new security architecture for the AI era,” Rich Campagna, SVP of product management at Palo Alto Networks, stated.

“We are embedding trust directly into the infrastructure, giving leaders the confidence to safeguard their proprietary intelligence and deploy AI bravely.”

By deploying Prisma AIRS Network Intercept on the BlueField DPU, security processing is isolated from host compute resources and enforced at line speed using NVIDIA DOCA hardware acceleration. Real-time workload telemetry captured through DOCA Argus is integrated with Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex security operations platforms to support automated, intelligence-driven threat detection and response across AI environments.

The architecture improves infrastructure efficiency by allowing host systems to dedicate their full compute capacity to AI workloads, contributing to higher throughput and a lower total cost of ownership. A defence-in-depth model is supported through centralised hyperscale firewall clusters at ingress and egress points, providing scalable inspection, high availability and protection against advanced threats.

“To be scalable, security must be distributed and embedded within the AI infrastructure,” Kevin Deierling, senior vice president of Networking at NVIDIA, commented.

“This is achieved with NVIDIA BlueField running Palo Alto Networks Prisma AIRS to deliver robust, runtime security for the AI factory, with optimal AI performance and efficiency.”

With Prisma AIRS included in the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory validated design, enterprises gain a security framework intended to safeguard sensitive data and AI models while supporting high-performance, large-scale AI operations.
