Singapore – Computer and network security firm Netskope has recently announced that it has integrated with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise Compliance API, aiming to provide API-enabled controls that bolster security and compliance for enterprise organisations using generative AI (genAI) applications.

This strategic initiative allows the company to deliver enhanced security features for organisations, such as application visibility, robust policy enforcement, advanced data security, and comprehensive security posture management.

Furthermore, Netskope’s CASB API protection employs APIs available from major vendors, such as Box, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365, to offer visibility into settings and data residing in the cloud service. The said integration is aimed at helping enterprise data within ChatGPT Enterprise be further compliant, secure, and protected.

Through the integration, joint customers can also more effectively adhere to compliance standards, advance detection, safeguard sensitive data, and protect against threats.

In particular, organisations can now help enforce data loss prevention (DLP) and compliance policies around sensitive data to support meeting compliance regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA, and more. This is made possible by over 50 compliance templates and 3,000+ data identifiers.

Out-of-band visibility and control further help protect sensitive information, such as personally identifiable information and intellectual property.

Moreover, continuous data scanning identifies and takes action on sensitive data leakage in near real-time, and users can leverage sophisticated and accurate DLP techniques, including machine learning and optical character recognition, to find sensitive information that is typically difficult to identify.

Meanwhile, advanced ML models for malware detection complement more traditional signatures, heuristics methods, and sandboxing techniques. This further remediates risks by identifying potential threats in near real-time.

Speaking about the integration, Andy Horwitz, SVP, global partner ecosystem at Netskope, said, “By integrating the Netskope One platform into OpenAI’s advanced capabilities in ChatGPT Enterprise, Netskope continues to lead in providing comprehensive security solutions for enterprises adopting genAI tools.”

“This integration reinforces our commitment to empowering organisations with the tools they need to help manage sensitive data and support compliance as AI adoption continues to accelerate,” added Horwitz.
