MessageMedia rebrands as Sinch Engage in ANZ

Australia – MessageMedia has rebranded as Sinch Engage, bringing the Australian and New Zealand messaging business under the Sinch brand more than five years after its acquisition by the global communications company.

The rebrand took effect on 28 July 2026, while new signups began moving to Sinch Engage from 1 July.

MessageMedia has provided business messaging services in Australia and New Zealand for more than 20 years. Sinch acquired the company in 2021, combining its local messaging capabilities with Sinch’s global communications network.

Under the new Sinch Engage name, the platform will continue to offer messaging services including SMS, MMS and WhatsApp, alongside local customer support.

The company said the rebrand does not immediately change the experience for existing MessageMedia customers. Their accounts and logins will remain unchanged for now, with further notice to be provided before any changes are made.

New customers exploring the platform will instead sign up for Sinch Engage accounts.

The rebrand is part of Sinch’s broader effort to bring its customer engagement offerings under a unified brand, following the integration of MessageMedia into the company.
