Singapore – LianLian Global has partnered with PayPal to let its social commerce, marketplace, and e-commerce clients send payouts directly to PayPal accounts worldwide and to Venmo accounts in the US. The company announced the tie-up on 22 October.
Under the arrangement, clients can pay creators, influencers, developers and independent contractors straight into their PayPal and Venmo wallets, according to LianLian Global.
The service behind the move, PayPal Payouts, operates in 96 markets and 24 currencies. Merchants can send funds to any email address, mobile number or Venmo user handle, whether or not the recipient already holds a PayPal or Venmo account.
The partnership targets a fast-growing creator economy. A report this 2026 puts brand spending on creators at $32.6 billion this year, with roughly 50 million people worldwide creating content professionally or semi-professionally.
Many of those recipients already hold digital wallets. PayPal had more than 400 million active accounts across approximately 200 markets at the end of Q2 2026, while Venmo reached 67 million monthly active accounts in Q4 2025.
The collaboration pairs LianLian Global’s cross-border collection, foreign exchange, and compliance infrastructure with PayPal’s global wallet network. In practice, it has four components.
Pay to PayPal covers payouts to account holders in 96 markets using only a recipient’s email address or phone number. Pay to Venmo handles domestic US payouts to creators, influencers and independent contractors.
PayPal Payouts for Platforms supports mass disbursements for social commerce, marketplaces and affiliate platforms that pay large numbers of sellers, creators and contractors. LianLian Global says the set-up removes the need for cheque runs, postage, routing numbers and bank accounts.
Sandra Lam, Deputy CEO of US of LianLian Global, said, “Social commerce is creating a new economy, where creators, influencers and independent sellers drive discovery and sales alongside the platforms they sell on. Paying these participants fast, across borders and in small amount is what powers the network effect of social commerce. We see our work with Paypal as a key step in building the payout rails for the global gig economy.”
For enterprises expanding globally, LianLian Global provides pay-in, pay-out, acquiring, foreign exchange, virtual card and payment aggregation services. Its parent company, Lianlian DigiTech, has served more than 13.3 million clients to date.
Those services reach more than 200 countries and regions, support transactions and settlement in more than 140 currencies, and connect with more than 180 global e-commerce platforms.
Overall, the partnership widens LianLian Global’s payout coverage. The company says it supports its growth in the US and global markets as cross-border platforms scale their creator and contractor programmes.
