Bangkok, Thailand – Google Cloud has unveiled PanyaThAI, a national initiative designed to assist Thai organisations in developing and scaling advanced agentic AI systems intended to strengthen digital capabilities across sectors central to the country’s economy.
The programme begins with 15 participating organisations from finance, retail, education, real estate, insurance, technology, and other major industries. Several of the participating organisations include Bitazza, Chulalongkorn University, Dhipaya Group Holdings, Finnomena, and Shop Global E-Commerce Company Limited.
PanyaThAI draws on the idea of combining local expertise with modern AI tools to create solutions that deliver practical outcomes for businesses and society.
The programme’s name “PanyaThAI” (ปัญญาไท) plays on the words “Panya” (ปัญญา) and “Thai” (ไท), embodying the vision of bringing together the wisdom and ingenuity of Thai people with leading AI innovations to support local industries.
It also reflects a broader move among participating organisations to advance AI use in a responsible and accountable manner.
Annop Siritikul, country director of Thailand at Google Cloud, mentioned that across the world, more than half of surveyed executives reported 6% to 10% revenue growth by equipping their teams and the people they serve with enterprise AI solutions.
“Through PanyaThAI, we’re bringing a proven blueprint to organisations, providing them with full-stack AI services and essential training and expertise,” Annop commented.
He added, “Our ambition is to help them foster a workforce that’s ‘bilingual’ in their domain and AI, accelerating their ability to solve complex challenges.”
PanyaThAI is based on Google Cloud’s full AI technology stack, which covers infrastructure, model development, and ready-to-use enterprise tools. This includes foundation models such as Veo 3.1 and the Gemini family, platforms like Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, and solutions that support customer engagement and productivity.
Specialists from Google Cloud and its partner network will work with organisations to apply these resources to build agentic AI systems that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and service delivery, while managing cost, performance, and security requirements.
Consulting and implementation support for PanyaThAI will come from partners including Accenture, Deloitte, Digithun Worldwide, HoriXonT8, MFEC, NTT DATA, Skooldio, and Tridorian. NTT DATA also plans to expand its certified Google Cloud workforce in Thailand to strengthen its ability to contribute to the programme.
The initiative guides organisations through a structured approach to AI transformation, including the development of AI roadmaps aligned with corporate goals, the selection of viable use cases with clear business value, and the creation of interoperable solutions that allow organisations to make the most of existing systems.
It also places emphasis on governance, responsible AI practices, and using company data as the foundation for accurate and dependable outputs.
Organisations will also receive support to define measurable indicators that track the effectiveness and return on investment of AI projects over time. Training programmes and hands-on learning platforms will be used to strengthen workforce capabilities at all levels.
