Manila, Philippines – Globe Business has entered into a strategic partnership with Confluent to expand access to enterprise data streaming technologies in the Philippines, with the aim of supporting AI adoption and digital transformation across industries.
The collaboration introduces a fully managed data streaming service designed to help organisations process and act on information in real-time, moving beyond traditional, siloed data systems.
Under the arrangement, Globe Business will deliver Confluent’s platform as a managed service hosted on its local virtual private cloud infrastructure. The offering incorporates technologies based on Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, enabling enterprises to manage continuous data flows while maintaining compliance and security requirements.
“This partnership is a critical step in our nation-building journey, as we lead the way in intelligent transformation, allowing Filipino enterprises to innovate at scale and move at the speed of their customers,” KD Dizon, vice president and head of Globe Business, commented.
“By providing a secure and compliant foundation for real-time intelligence, we are catalysing a more resilient and digitally competitive Philippines.”
The initiative is positioned to support businesses seeking to modernise operational processes and improve customer engagement through data-driven insights. According to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), digital retail payments accounted for 57.4% of total transaction volume in the country, highlighting the growing need for systems capable of processing transactions and detecting anomalies as they occur.
Real-time data capabilities are increasingly used in areas such as fraud monitoring in financial services and personalised interactions in retail. Confluent’s regional research indicates that 58% of organisations in the APAC regard data streaming as a key enabler of AI deployment. By integrating live enterprise data streams with AI models, companies can support predictive analytics and automated decision-making processes.
“By running on Globe’s secure, local cloud, we are providing a trusted foundation for businesses to build their next generation of AI-driven customer experiences,” Kamal Brar, senior vice president of Global ISV at Confluent, shared.
“Together, we are making it possible for organisations to operationalise real-time intelligence at scale and deliver the high-impact digital services that modern consumers demand.”
The partnership will provide Philippine enterprises with access to the same data streaming infrastructure used by global digital-first organisations, delivered through Globe’s domestic cloud environment.
The data streaming service is also designed to integrate with Globe Premium Cloud Connect, enabling connectivity across private and public cloud platforms to support unified data strategies. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure and facilitate broader adoption of real-time, AI-driven applications.
