Philippines – Mynt, Inc., the parent company of the group behind GCash, has secured commitments from more than 20 cornerstone investors for its proposed initial public offering (IPO) on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the company announced on 24 September 2026.
The commitments would cover approximately the entire Institutional Offer tranche, subject to any reallocation between tranches of the Offer.
Mynt has also filed its Red Herring Prospectus for a listing on the PSE Main Board. The filing follows a pre-effective approval letter from the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a Notice of Approval from the PSE.
Investor roadshows are now under way ahead of the expected pricing of the Offer, according to the company.
Mynt says it believes this is the largest number of cornerstone investors in a Philippine IPO to date. However, the commitments remain subject to final pricing, completion of the Offer and customary closing conditions.
The global group includes 16 entries, among them funds managed by subsidiaries of BlackRock, Inc., Capital Research and Management Company, and FIL Investment Management (Hong Kong) Limited. Lazard Asset Management LLC, the International Finance Corporation, T Rowe Price entities and Surveyor Capital, a Citadel company, also feature on the list.
Domestically, six institutions have confirmed their support: ATRAM Trust Corporation, BPI Asset Management and Trust Corporation, China Bank Capital Corporation, Metrobank Bank & Trust Company – Trust Banking Group, Philequity Management, Inc. and RCBC Capital Corporation.
The line-up also includes several newcomers. Albizia Capital Pte. Ltd., Amundsen Investment Management and HSBC Global Asset Management (UK) Limited are making their first cornerstone commitments in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Ninety One North America, Inc. and Ninety One UK Limited are participating as cornerstone investors in Southeast Asia for the first time.
Mynt says the proposed IPO will broaden its shareholder base and raise primary capital to support the continued expansion of digital financial services and product innovation. Upon closing, the cornerstone group will also widen its institutional shareholder base.
Commenting on the investor group, Mynt’s leadership framed the commitments as a vote of confidence in the company.
“The cornerstone investor group comprises leading institutions who have indicated interest to participate in Mynt’s proposed IPO. We believe this reflects confidence in our position as the nation’s number one finance super app, our track record of profitable growth, and the significant market opportunity that lies ahead of us. As Mynt enters the next chapter, we remain focused on our mission of Finance for All and on executing our strategy to sustainably deliver long-term shareholder value,” said Martha Sazon, President and CEO of Mynt.
Mynt’s finance chief echoed that view, pointing to the composition of the investor base.
“Building a high-quality, diversified and long-term shareholder base is important to us, not just for the IPO, but for Mynt’s next chapter as a public company. The breadth and quality of cornerstone investor participation from both global and domestic institutions speaks to the strength of Mynt today and the opportunity ahead,” said Evelyn Ng, Chief Finance Officer of Mynt.
Looking ahead, the final Offer Price is expected to be determined on 1 October 2026, following the bookbuilding process.
On the transaction itself, Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC, J.P. Morgan Securities plc and UBS AG Singapore Branch are acting as Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners.
Further disclosures will follow at the appropriate time. Any potential offering remains subject to SEC registration requirements, PSE listing requirements, prevailing market conditions, final offer terms, and internal approvals and consents.
