Deepak will oversee regional operations and growth, with a focus on scaling the business in sectors such as financial services, e-commerce, and technology. Accompanying his appointment is the opening of a new regional hub in Singapore.
The move underscores the company’s efforts to strengthen its footprint in APAC as demand for advanced data and AI infrastructure accelerates. Deepak mentioned that organizations across APAC are pushing limits of analytics and AI workloads.
“Firebolt’s ability to process massive volumes of data at low latency and high concurrency—all while optimising for cost—is a game changer,” Deepak said.
“I’m excited to partner with forward-thinking companies across the region to unlock new possibilities with Firebolt.”
Deepak brings more than 20 years of leadership experience with global technology firms, including Oracle, Dell, Google, and most recently Confluent—where he served as Vice president for ANZ and emerging markets.

“With Deepak joining the team, we’re well-positioned to meet the region’s surging need for analytical infrastructure tha can power the next generation of real-time applications,” Sandeep mentioned.
The Singapore hub builds on Firebolt’s earlier expansion into Bangalore and follows a series of executive hires aimed at bolstering its presence in APAC. Hemanth Vedagarbha, President of Firebold said the company’s mission is to give engineers an analytical database that delivers unmatched performance, flexibility, and control.
“Deepak’s track record in scaling high-performing businesses and teams will be instrumental as we enter our next phase of growth, ensuring we deliver greater efficiency and value across the region,” Hemanth explained.
