Singapore – ESET has expanded its cybersecurity portfolio in Singapore with the introduction of two managed detection and response offerings designed for organisations of different sizes. The new subscriptions comprise ESET PROTECT MDR, aimed at SMEs, and ESET PROTECT MDR Ultimate, developed for larger enterprises operating in more complex digital environments.
The services provide continuous, round-the-clock security coverage across endpoints, email systems, and cloud-based applications. It incorporates vulnerability identification and remediation, alongside managed monitoring, threat investigation, and coordinated response activities. The enterprise-focused tier adds deeper operational insight, tailored threat-hunting programmes and access to remote digital forensic support to assist with incident analysis and recovery.
Recent regional research by ESET highlights persistent structural challenges within Singapore’s cybersecurity landscape. Nearly half of the surveyed organisations reported the absence of a dedicated security team, while more than half identified difficulties in tracking evolving threat activity as a leading concern.
These pressures are compounded by the wider APAC region’s ongoing shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals, reinforcing demand for externally managed security services that can supplement in-house capabilities.
“Cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated and more time-critical, especially in highly connected digital economies like Singapore,” Pamela Ong, country manager of Asia and Singapore at ESET, stated.
“The ability to detect and respond within minutes can make the difference between a contained incident and a major breach.”
The newly launched MDR services are positioned to address these gaps by combining automated technologies with specialist expertise and global threat intelligence. The platform is designed to support organisations at varying levels of cybersecurity maturity, offering expert-led incident management and containment through a fully managed delivery model.
The MDR service achieves a mean time to respond of six minutes,, where breach detection can take several weeks. Faster response times are intended to reduce the potential impact of cyber incidents, limiting data exposure, operational interruption and financial losses.
By providing a single, continuously available security service that can be deployed across multiple client environments, the MDR platform is designed to support MSPs in securing both their own infrastructure and that of their customers, while enabling them to scale their services more effectively.
