Manila, Philippines – In an industry traditionally led by men, women are pioneering an era where innovation and diversity flourish together as an inclusive culture. Their leadership transcends beyond mere achievements– they nurture a bold legacy for female leaders of the next generation.

To honour these values, UpTech Media is excited to celebrate the return of the “Empowered Women Awards” in 2025, as a partner of its sister publication brand MARKETECH APAC. This event will feature a prestigious in-person awards night on September 26, 2025, bringing together women leaders in Asia Pacific who have made invaluable contributions to the marketing and tech industry.

Embracing the tagline “Empowering Innovation, Elevating Women,” the ceremony also recognises the strength and visionary leadership these female leaders bring to the forefront. These encompass their inspiring and unique journeys that have led to successful careers, conquered challenges, and courageous breakthroughs in their respective fields.

The event will further highlight 46 different categories including individual recognition, marketing campaigns, tech innovations, people categories, special awards, and the grand prize, with each category recognising three (3) winners: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Under the tech sector, the event will also honour women redefining the industry in the fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud innovation, e-commerce tech, advertising tech, marketing tech, and more.

Judging criteria and eligibility will vary by category. Entries will be accepted starting November this year, with the judging process scheduled to take place in July 2025.

Commenting about the initiative, Teddy Cambosa, regional editor at MARKETECH APAC and UpTech Media, said, “We’re excited to finally launch our ‘Empowered Women Awards 2025’, as we believe that empowering women in the marketing and technology space is not only about closing gaps—it’s about recognising their immense contributions and unleashing their full potential.”

“By celebrating their leadership, creativity, and innovation, we foster a more inclusive industry where diverse voices drive progress and inspire the next generation of trailblazers. When women are seen, heard, and valued, the future of these fields becomes limitless,” he further explained.
