Singapore – Dragons Inc., a cybersecurity firm for operational technology environments, has recently announced its strategic alliance with the Digital and Intelligence Service of the Singapore Armed Forces.
Said initiative was further formalised through the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which was participated in by Kurt Gaudette, senior vice president at Intelligence and Services at Dragos, and Brigadier-General (BG) Edward Chen, defence cyber chief at DIS.
The three-year collaboration agreement was organised to fortify the nation’s capabilities to detect and defend against cyberattacks. More specifically, it aims to establish advanced cybersecurity capabilities, strategic cybersecurity planning and training, and two-way sharing of information about cyber threats.
Brigadier-General (BG) Edward Chen, defence cyber chief at DIS, remarked, “The DIS continues to expand and build on its partnership with key partners across various sectors, including the tech industry, to further cyber collaboration.”
“This MOU with Dragos speaks to our close partnership, and we look forward to working closely in the year ahead,” added Chen.
Kurt Gaudette, senior vice president of Intelligence and Services at Dragos, further stated, “Singapore’s proactive approach to cybersecurity is truly impressive and serves as an example for other nations to follow to ensure safety for their critical infrastructure and their citizens.”
“Together, the DIS and Dragos are committed to empowering Singapore with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the evolving cyber threat landscape,” he concluded.
