CP AXTRA signs MoU with Tencent Cloud to enhance customer experience, operational capabilities

Bangkok, Thailand – Tencent Cloud, a cloud service provider, has recently announced a strategic partnership with CP AXTRA, a customer-centric online sales and delivery-pickup service.

In this collaboration, CP AXTRA will use Tencent Cloud’s advanced cloud technologies and AI-driven tools to optimise its digital capabilities. These capabilities will further be leveraged to enhance customer satisfaction and improve overall operational performance, alongside the goal of digital transformation for retail. 

Said partnership was commemorated through the signing of a memorandum of understanding during a ceremony in Bangkok. This was attended by senior leaders from both companies, including Jimmy Chen, vice president at Tencent Cloud International and managing director of Southeast Asia, and Tarin Thaniyavarn, group chief technology and data officer and group chief e-commerce officer at CP AXTRA Public Company Limited. 

Among the notable witnesses were Zhang Yun Ming, deputy minister from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, and Prasert Jantararuangtong, deputy prime minister and minister of digital economy and society of Thailand.

Part of the partnership also encompasses Tencent Cloud offering its IaaS and artificial intelligence solutions to boost CP AXTRA’s operational efficiency, focusing on assortment range management, demand prediction, and pricing and promotion strategies to enhance the customer experience.

Poshu Yeung, senior vice president at Tencent Cloud International, remarked, “Tencent Cloud is pleased to further solidify our presence in the retail sector by adding CP AXTRA, another major top-tier retailer, to our portfolio.”

“We look forward to helping CP AXTRA boost its digitalisation and AI efforts through our highly reliable and high-quality solutions, products, and services with the goal of bolstering the retail leader’s business outcomes,” he further said.

Tarin Thaniyavarn, group chief technology and data officer and group chief e-commerce officer at CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, also commented, “CP AXTRA is glad to be partnering with Tencent Cloud, benefiting from its cutting-edge IaaS and AI solutions.
