Singapore – Cohesity extends its multi-year strategic partnership with Google Cloud to deliver integrated capabilities across AI, cybersecurity, and data protection, with a focus on strengthening cyber resilience and supporting enterprise AI adoption.
The collaboration builds on existing integrations between the two companies and centres on enabling organisations to protect sensitive information, meet regulatory and sovereignty requirements, and bring greater value from enterprise data across hybrid and cloud environments.
Under the expanded partnership, Cohesity and Google Cloud will be aligning their platforms to support AI-driven insights from enterprise data while maintaining robust security and governance controls.
The Cohesity Data Cloud is designed to work with Google Cloud’s AI services to help organisations analyse and utilise unstructured and structured data securely, including through natural language-based search and query capabilities.
“This collaboration with Google Cloud represents a bold step forward in redefining how enterprises protect, secure, and gain insight from their data, while reframing sovereignty from a regulatory burden into a source of trust and advantage,” Sanjay Poonen, CEO and president, Cohesity, stated.
He added, “By combining the power of AI, cyber resilience, and cloud innovation, Cohesity is not just working to solve today’s challenges—we’re building the foundation for a smarter, more secure digital future.”
The partnership also emphasises cybersecurity and incident recovery with Cohesity’s data protection platform, integrating with Google Threat Intelligence to support threat detection, investigation, and clean recovery from cyber incidents.
Collaboration between Cohesity’s cyber response specialists and Google Cloud’s incident response teams is also intended to help joint customers respond more quickly to security events. Further integration with Google Security Operations is planned to support more automated security workflows and to reduce response times by identifying threats that may reside within protected data.
“Our deepened partnership with Cohesity reflects a shared commitment to helping organisations unlock the full potential of their data—securely, and at scale,” Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, commented.
He added, “By integrating Google Cloud’s AI and security innovations with Cohesity’s cyber resilience foundations, we’re enabling enterprises to accelerate AI transformation while building a more resilient, compliant future for customers everywhere in the world.”
Also included in the extended partnership is data sovereignty and regulatory compliance. Cohesity has been recognised as a Google Cloud Ready partner for regulated and sovereignty-focused solutions, enabling deployments within Google Cloud environments that support data residency and sovereign control requirements.
Through solutions such as Cohesity FortKnox on Google Cloud, organisations can maintain immutable and isolated copies of critical data within specific geographic regions, supported by policy-based controls that restrict storage and recovery to approved jurisdictions.
The partnership also extends to data protection for Google Cloud services. Cohesity’s platform supports the protection of workloads and data across Google Compute Engine, Google Cloud Storage, and a range of database services, with immutable backups stored either in Google Cloud or on customer-managed infrastructure.
Cohesity’s solutions are available through the Google Cloud Marketplace, enabling customers to procure and deploy services within existing cloud environments.
