Singapore – Carousell, a multi-category classifieds marketplace, has recently announced the launch of its latest set of features in Singapore to enhance the convenience of buying and selling second-hand items.

For this update, the company will now enable users to add multiple listings from the same seller to their cart, check out with a single click using the ‘Buy’ button, and receive items with tracked shipping status via Carousell official delivery.

Along with this update, they have also introduced a new shipping option, aside from the door-to-door shipping. This provides busy sellers with more flexibility and choice, allowing them to select the delivery method that best suits their needs. Users can also enjoy affordable shipping rates.

Meanwhile, the ‘Buy’ button’s buyer protection policies also allow buyers to request a full refund and return for non-delivery or if the item has issues. To simplify this process, Carousell launched a new integrated returns process in February, improving the returns experience. Buyers can now arrange returns via Carousell Official Delivery on the platform, which includes tracking updates.

Vishal Salunkhe, vice president and head of commercial at Carousell, said, “We believe that accelerating the future of secondhand is through recommerce—that is, making buying and selling secondhand items as trusted and convenient as the process of buying brand new.”

“We have been rolling out several features, such as the Carousell Certified programme that allows users to buy secondhand items that have been inspected and Sell to Carousell programme that allows users to sell directly to Carousell for instant cash,” added Vishal.

“These new features help to make buying and selling second hand a lot more convenient for users, as well as make transactions safer through escrow payment and tracked integrated delivery. We will be continuing to launch more platform features and enhancements in the coming months,” he concluded.

These improvements demonstrate their dedication to setting new standards in trust and convenience for secondhand transactions across their brands across the region.
