Bank CTBC Indonesia implements Infosys Finacle cloud-based digital banking suite

Indonesia — Bank CTBC Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Taiwan-headquartered CTBC Group, has adopted the Infosys Finacle Digital Banking Solution Suite on a cloud-hosted model as part of its ongoing digital transformation.

The deployment aims to support business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer experience. Implementation includes the latest Finacle solutions for loans, deposits, trade finance, payments, and customer data management, all integrated with the bank’s existing digital banking platforms, such as online banking and retail loan origination.

By moving to the cloud, the bank expects to accelerate product rollouts, strengthen security, and achieve faster time-to-market for new offerings.

Iwan Satawidinata, president director of Bank CTBC Indonesia, stated how the collaboration sets a new bar for digital banking in Indonesia.

“These advanced solutions positions us at the forefront of Indonesia’s banking sector, empowering us to deliver secure, tailored offerings that address our customers’ evolving needs,” Iwan said.

A key feature of the deployment is the Finacle Customer Data Hub, which provides a unified view of customer information. This capability supports personalisation of services and integration with third-party providers to expand allied offerings.

Sajit Viyajakumar, chief executive officer, at Infosys Finacle, commented that the partnership is a testament of cloud-native digital banking solutions in enabling bank-wide transformations.

“Bank CTBC Indonesia stands to gain the benefits of secure, scalable flexibility with the deployment on cloud and is well-positioned to deliver an industry leading digital banking platform to its customers,” Sajit stated.

Bank CTBC Indonesia has also transitioned to the Finacle suite running on a PostgreSQL database platform, resulting in a significant reduction in bulk processing time—reported at more than 300% improvement—while lowering total cost of ownership.

Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Infosys, delivers digital banking solutions to financial institutions globally.
